Robert Reed was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and after seventeen years of crushing boredom, he moved west to the fabled metropolis of Lincoln. He has published nearly a dozen novels, including the well-received Marrow. His short fiction can be found in Asimov's and F&SF as well as many other markets. A collection of novellas, including one near-novel, should be released this year by PS Publishing. His novella, "A Billion Eves," won the Hugo in 2007.
Reed lives on the plains with his wife and daughter, plus various critters and vermin. Hobbies include ponds, running, and talking about ponds and running.
