FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Reno, Nevada, USA - Renovation, the 69th World Science Fiction Convention, today opened hotel booking to all members.
The convention has over 1,200 rooms reserved at three hotels - enough to accommodate the approximately 4,000 science fiction fans expected at the August event. The majority of these rooms are located at two major resort hotels - the Atlantis and Peppermill - with a smaller block at the Courtyard by Marriott. All three sites are conveniently located for the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, which will host most convention activities.
The Atlantis and Peppermill resorts will provide convention members with a memorable experience during their visit to Reno. Features include a large number of on-site restaurants (10 in each hotel), spas, pools and other amenities, all surrounded by flamboyant resort decor. More practical benefits include free Internet access, free parking, and complementary airport shuttles. Over 100 suites, starting at just a few dollars over the standard room rate, are also available to members seeking especially luxurious accommodation.
Full information on all three convention hotels and specific room options and rates, along with detailed booking instructions, can be found on the Renovation website at www.renovationsf.org/hotels.php. Bookings can be made online or by telephone.
Renovation is the 2011 World Science Fiction Convention ("Worldcon"). The first Worldcon occurred in New York City in 1939 and Worldcons have been held annually since then except during World War II. Renovation's Guests of Honor are Ellen Asher, Charles N. Brown (in memoriam), Tim Powers and Boris Vallejo.
