Reno, Nevada, USA - Renovation is pleased to announce a special Memorial Day sale on Adult Attending memberships.

Adult Attending rates will be reduced to $180, a discount of $15, for all adults joining online through the Renovation website on Memorial Day, May 30. An equivalent reduction will also apply to adults upgrading from Supporting to Attending status. The Family Attending rate will be reduced to $460, a discount of $20.

The reduced rates also apply to all face-to-face membership sales made at Balticon, BayCon, ConQuesT, Marcon and WisCon throughout the whole of Memorial Day weekend.

Renovation attendees will have access to a packed program of activities in Reno including four high profile evenings of entertainment: Music Night, Art Night, the Masquerade and the Hugo Award Ceremony. Attendees and supporting members are also eligible to vote for the winners of the Hugo Awards.

According to convention Chair Patty Wells: "Our aim throughout has been to put on a fantastic event at affordable prices. I'm delighted that we can make this special offer available and give even more fans the chance to come along and celebrate with us in Reno."


Renovation is the 2011 World Science Fiction Convention ("Worldcon"). The first Worldcon occurred in New York City in 1939 and Worldcons have been held annually since then except for 1942-45 when there was no event due to World War II. Renovation's Guests of Honor are Ellen Asher, Charles N. Brown (in memoriam), Tim Powers and Boris Vallejo.
