Film - Radio Free Albemuth

Renovation is delighted to be showing the feature film Radio Free Albemuth as part of the Renovation Film Festival. To quote a recent review from Variety:

Set in a quasi-Fascist alternative U.S. of the 1980s, "Radio Free Albemuth" is an engrossing adaptation of the same-named novel by Philip K. Dick. Produced on a much more modest scale than previous Dick interpretations such as "Minority Report," this well-performed paranoia piece about a music exec rebelling against the state after receiving messages from an alien intelligence should connect strongly with Dick's fanbase and attract upscale auds seeking sci-fi with political and philosophical substance.

Renovation is also pleased to announce that John Alan Simon, writer and director of the film, will be attending Renovation to introduce the showing and participate in a Q&A session. For full details and to watch the trailer, click here.

Renovation is pleased to announce we will be playing several audio commentary tracks from RiffTrax along side several of our movie selections. RiffTrax are comedic MP3 tracks that you play in-sync with your favorite movies. Written and performed by the stars of the award-winning TV series "Mystery Science Theater 3000", RiffTrax brings the unique humor of "Satellite of Love" partners Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett to Hollywood's hit movies.
