ESL Worksheets and Lesson Plans 2 Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle

ESL Worksheets and Lesson Plans 1 & 2 are similar in that they were developed to supplement ESL textbooks-not to replace them. They are meant to enhance and bring variety to an already-existing ESL program. Book 2 is different in that it provides more practice in phonics, word building, and grammar in work-related scenarios. For example, a review of the use of the simple past tense is presented in the context of describing a job interview, and the review of modal verbs incorporates banking terms. The worksheets are designed to be duplicated and distributed to students. They can also be used to make overhead transparencies or be projected onto a whiteboard or smart board on which students can see the worksheets and write directly onto the projected images. Each worksheet is accompanied by a detailed step-by-step lesson plan, grammar explanations, suggested teaching techniques, and follow-up activities. The lessons also provide a useful resource for substitute teachers and tutors. This book is available at Amazon.com.

The “People Power” Education Superbook: Book 18. School Teacher Resource Guide Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle

I was a teacher for awhile. I started because I liked education and wanted to do something to express myself creatively but after I taught a basic psychology course called Human Growth & Development over 30 times, I said to myself I don’t believe in the fake science of psychology anymore. I could keep doing this to earn a living but everyday I feel like I’m wasting my life. The point is that it’s a great profession if you like the course material and the students who are mostly young, well-intentioned and inspired. I’m pro-teacher because I was one. I think it’s one of the few truly honorable professions. This is not a teacher job book. I wrote a separate book for that. In a completely rational society, the best of us would be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something less, because passing civilization along from one generation to the next ought to be the highest honor and the highest responsibility anyone could have. TEACHING ENGLISH GRAMMAR A Compilation of Sample Lesson Plans Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle

This book contains some sample lesson plans to teach grammar based on the three approaches of grammar teaching suggested by Thornbury in his book How to teach grammar (1999). Since teaching English grammar is one of the skills that needs to be mastered by not only English teachers but also by the future English teachers (student-teachers), they need to be equipped with the skill of grammar teaching. The sample lesson plans written in this book were developed by focusing on the three different approaches suggested by Thornbury (i.e., either by teaching grammar from rules, from examples, or through texts). Hopefully, the sample lesson plans in this book can give some practical ideas to teachers or student-teachers to teach several English grammatical structures or to teach other grammatical structures using the steps shown in the sample lesson plans.
