Mama Foglio, her cantankerous husband, and ten rambunctious kids were poor. In fact, they were so poor that the poor people called them poor. Then one day the Lord burst into their lives, in the form of another, equally poor, equally large and tumultuous ItalianAmerican family who stormed into their home and evangelized them mano a mano. Thus begins what has got to be the most hilarious, warmhearted and frequently deeplymoving testimony ever given to the glory of the Lord.
John Roedel is a comic, husband and father of three boys based in Wyoming who began talking with "God" in 2015 on Facebook about his ongoing faith crisis. What began as a flippant way of making light of his doubts in the Divine turned into something he wasn't at all prepared for: God wrote back. Since creating the popular "Hey God. Hey John." blog on Facebook three years ago, John has tackled such topics as his journey to mental health wellness, his lack of faith, the joy and pain of raising a child with autism, and grief, all in the form of a simple conversation with God.
The earth was void and without form. It is from the Void God created. God saw all He had made, and behold it was very good. God then rested, very pleased with all He had created. Later we are told a mist went up from the earth. A mist is something that 'conceals.' Why would God want to conceal or prevent His very good creation from being seen? Once the mist is in place we find that God, or someone or something decided to redo the creation that God was originally pleased with. This time the story tells us, "The lord God formed man of the dust of the ground." Looking at the word dust we find it means 'confusion,' and 'something of no worth.' Since confusion means 'without order or sense,' the question is, why would God want to recreate man without order and sense, and from something of no worth? This is not so much about religion as it is in understanding what the ancient writers were trying to tell us. Understanding may make you question your religious beliefs along with your whole life's purpose and what you have been calling your reality. You may find, "We are prisoners of our minds and we are confined within it."

No one can change orientation from "Gay" to "Straight". That statement is a "LIE"! Doug M. the author of this book leads you through his early life and the way that he was led to discover, it is that "Lie" that keeps the desired change from taking place in those who would be most able to achieve it. After over twenty-five years living that "Lie" He tells of the way he was led to find the "TRUTH" of healing and recovery from homosexuality. He has been living the truth of change for another twenty-five years. Married, father of three and grandfather He shares the joy of knowing that all things are possible and healing in this area is "reality." In Hey! God, Was That You? author Ron Gluck, bush pilot and international relations liaison, glances back in time anecdotally revisiting flying, language gems, and conversation slices occurring from 1963 to 2007 in Papua New Guinea; Cameroon, Washington, D.C.; and New York City. In this memoir, he narrates how he flew five thousand accident-free hours mostly in single- engine planes over uncharted mountainous terrain of Papua New Guinea and later in Cameroon—a safety he attributes to God’s grace and to quality aircraft maintenance by fellow JAARS specialists. Hey! God, Was That You? asks, is not the living God, maker of heaven and earth, still involved in weather, ideas, timing, and answering prayers?
Hey, God! What Went Wrong and When Are You Going to Fix It? by Samuel D. G. Heath Pdf
Awarded an American Legion Scholarship I am also an award winning author and have published numerous articles and books. Having attended several colleges and universities eventually earning my Ph. D. in Human Behavior I hold several life credentials in education earned during many years as an educator together with years spent working in the Aerospace Industry and other occupations. But to call Einstein's famous equation E=MC2 incomplete because it does not account for life and death does seem quite extraordinary, yet these remain the two greatest mysteries they have ever been denying us thus far a "theory of everything." The title of this book: "Hey, God! What went wrong and when are You going to fix it?" is a perfectly legitimate question and one that often comes to the minds of most of us. We know something animates life and departs with death, but what this "something" is not all our science has yet discovered, though things like the Large Hadron Collider may provide needed insight, and it has been in the pursuit of knowledge about these two greatest mysteries that has compelled me into so many varied academic studies and careers attempting to make sense of the world and our place in it and how people think and deal with the issues of life and death philosophically, religiously, and politically. The things I have discovered along the way compelled me to much research and speculation about these mysteries and how they impact our lives, to communicate my thoughts about them to others. But there are many things, some of them terribly wrong which we wish God would intervene and set right and question why He does not. Some years ago I removed from the greater part of society to live in semi-seclusion alone with my books and thoughts in a quiet part of the Sequoia National Forest devoting myself to contemplation, speculating about many things and committing my thoughts in writing fulltime. As a writer and author given to much introspection and fascinated by human behavior, nature, and our universe it was important to me to simplify my life as much as possible as anyone given to philosophical speculation about many things must. That much of my writing covers some metaphysical thoughts about God, angels and demons, an afterlife and Biblical stories of origins, of prophecies of the End Times and so much more have been absorbing studies as well and I freely share my thoughts about these in this volume.
Eric was just a regular guy. He'd had ups and downs in life and spirituality. Flawed but not so much that you'd know it from the outside. The obvious cracks in his armor-single, divorced dad, living with his fiancée-were low-hanging fruit, and of course they didn't look great. His family and friends know him as a man that had been brought up in church though and knew who God was. Even though his life had taken twists and turns to and from his faith, he'd always held on to his core beliefs. On a cold night in November, he found himself in the company of a mixed group of strangers and in the unenviable position of explaining his life and faith (as twisted as both of those seemed to be) to their skeptical ears. Sit in on the improbable but captivating details of that night and how Eric ended up in that home on the north side of Chicago.

Hey, God, Why Is It Taking So Long? by Lynette Hagin Pdf
"Wait" is not a word we like to hear - whether it's said in a restaurent when we want to be seated at a table right away, or by our spouse when we're ready to leave for church. We don't like to be stuck in traffic or in a line at the grocery store. We want answers to problems as immediately as we want our microwave popcorn!"--The book cover
Hey, God? Yes, Charles. is a rare narrative of the beauty of life and the endlessness of love, all told from the perspective of intimate, humorous and poignant conversations between Charles Cooper and God. An “accidental masterpiece” taken from author Rebecca Cooper’s notes, each conversation between Charles and God is full of joy, empathy, and the revelation that while we may not live forever, our memory and love are eternal. Sunday, November 11, 2007, Becky Cooper watched her husband Charles drive out of sight, heading from their Nashville condo to his office and apartment in Atlanta. She never saw him conscious again. Monday, November 12, was his 58th birthday. Since he would be out of town, their granddaughters and Becky had made him a cake and celebrated before he left on that Sunday. Wednesday, November 14, Charles caught Becky at her desk, calling just to let her know that he’d had some pain radiating down his back. He was sure it was nothing, but the company nurse, who just happened to be in the office that day, heard what happened and insisted on calling 911 as a precaution. They swapped love yous. She didn’t even get out of her chair. Twelve days later, despite hundreds, maybe thousands, of prayers, Charles died. Emergency open heart surgery was followed by complications, including acute respiratory distress syndrome, pneumonia, and various lung infections. He and Becky had been married almost 39 years. In the following year, Becky learned that the connection with someone you love doesn’t cease with death. Charles was always bigger than life, and his presence, his love, his humor, and these conversations were just as real after his death. For better, for worse, Becky started scribbling down what she was overhearing in heaven. She was done talking to God. Charles, as it turned out, was not.
