And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him (Deuteronomy 18:18-19 New King James Version).Yet when Jesus came, they did not know Him: "But as He came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, HE BEGAN TO WEEP. 42 'How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes' " (Luke 19:41-42 New Living Translation).Because of disobedience to God, they brought many calamities on themselves and their descendants.
