Tat Chhod Ke Baho by Ashish, Sweta Pdf

● The 'shore' in 'flow away from the shore' refers to our old beliefs and irrational prejudices. The way mud, silt, and garbage collect on the banks stops the river's flow. Similarly, old beliefs and irrational prejudices affect the development (physical, mental, economic, emotional, and social) of a person. ● This is a construction manual. Each chapter of this explains the way from dreaming of success to making those dreams come true with examples at every step. This book will help you: ● A happy and happy life can be lived by leaving behind your old beliefs and irrational prejudices. ● Achieve success by turning your weaknesses into strengths. ● The rules and principles explained through the biographies of great people are universal and can be adopted in every situation, every country, and every organization. ● How to convert defeat into victory. ● So that you can leave the shore and flow freely towards the vast sea... ' This book is not for those living aimlessly, relying on luck, unhappiness, and the past.'

Odyssey of the Pueblo Indians by William M. Eaton Pdf

The author, William M. Eaton, brings to his studies of Pueblo Indian culture a unique background. He was commissioned as 2nd Lt. in the USAAF with specialized training as a celestial navigator...One day as he surveyed a petroglyph panel, he was impressed with the fact that the Pueblo Indian shaman had imprinted several star Panels, namely Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, into the petroglyph panel. One set of obscure dots soon led to another, and a remarkable source of astronomical data was developed including the utilization of Pleiades, Orion, and the star Capella. This data, some of which related to star panels announcing the summer and winter solstices, was intended to initiate the annual schedules of a number of Pueblo Indian events such as the Niman Dance in Summer Solstice, the Soyal Winter Solsice Ceremony, and the Momtcit Warrior Initiation Rites in late December.

Iban Dream by Golda Mowe Pdf

Orphaned as a young boy in the rainforests of Borneo, Bujang is brought up by a family of orangutans, but his adult future has already been decided for him by Sengalang Burong, the Iban warpath god. On reaching adulthood, Bujang must leave his ape family and serve the warpath god as a warrior and a headhunter. Having survived his first assignment — to kill an ill-tempered demon in the form of a ferocious wild boar — subsequent adventures see Bujang converse with gods, shamans, animal spirits and with the nomadic people of Borneo as he battles evil spirits and demons to preserve the safety of those he holds dear to him. But Bujang’s greatest test is still to come and he must rally a large headhunting expedition to free his captured wife and those of his fellow villagers. In this unique work of fantasy fiction, author Golda Mowe — herself an Iban from Borneo — uses real beliefs, taboos and terminology of the Iban (a longhouse-dwelling indigenous group of people from Borneo who, until very recently, were renowned for practising headhunting) to weave an epic tale of good versus evil.

It is the same light by Daljit Singh Jawa Pdf

Sri Guru Granth Sahib is generally known as the holy scripture of Sikhism, the world’s fifth largest religion. But this holy scripture is neither a storybook nor just the philosophy of the Sikh saints or prophets. It is more like a collection of divine revelations and hymns, expressing the feelings of love and devotion of the Sikh Gurus for the Supreme Being, along with the similar yearnings and longings of the devotees and saints from all faiths prevalent in Indian subcontinent during those times. The beauty of this 1430 page hymnal written in 22 different languages lies in the fact that while it spiritually connects the human mind to the original source of eternal bliss, it provides a very practical and effective way to live in love and harmony with other fellow human beings irrespective of their faith, color, caste, creed, or race. The following are a few examples of the views of eminent writers and scholars regarding Sri Guru Granth Sahib: “Mankind’s religious future may be obscure, yet one thing can be foreseen. The living higher religions are going to influence each other more than ever before, in the days of increasing communications between all parts of the world and branches of the human race. In this coming religious debate, the Sikh religion and its scriptures, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib will have something of special value to say to the rest of the world.’ Arnold Toynbee- Historian “I have studied the scripture of great religions, but I do not find elsewhere the same power of appeal to the heart and mind as I find here in these volumes [of Sri Guru Granth Sahib]. There is something strangely modern about these scriptures. They speak to the people of any religion or of none. They speak for the human heart and the searching mind.” Mrs. Pearl S. Buck- Nobel Laureate In Volume two of the “It Is The Same Light” series (SGGS pages 201-400), author Daljit Singh Jawa continues his humble effort to share the beauty of the SGGS with those who have limited familiarity with the language (Gurumukhi), history, or context. The following are some of the comments received on the volume 1 (pages 1-200 of SGGS): “This translation of Guru Granth Sahib is one of the best English translations in my view, as it is in simple understandable English, each shabad’s summary message is given, there is connection between the shabads to reveal continuity of thought process in Guru ji’s message. Thanks to S Daljit Singh ji for the great work which will benefit future generations understand Guru Ji’s message easily.” -Amarjit Singh, M.D., University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY “A monumental undertaking, reflecting a lifetime of devotion to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and to the scholarly study of its voluminous texts. Both its rendition of the original Gurmukhi script, with accompanying English transliteration, and its erudite commentary on each of the Granth’s many hymns mark this work as a stunning achievement which will benefit all serious students of the Sikh religion and of world religions in general.” -Barry Crawford, Ph.D., Washburn Univesity, Topeka, Kansas

Intentions in the Experience of Meaning by Raymond W. Gibbs Pdf

What do our assumptions about authorship matter for our experience of meaning? This book examines the debates in the humanities and social sciences over whether authorial intentions can, or should, constrain our interpretation of language and art. Scholars assume that understanding of linguistic and artistic meaning should not be constrained by beliefs about authors and their possible intentions in creating a human artifact. It is argued here that people are strongly disposed to infer intentionality when understanding oral speech, written texts, artworks, and many other human actions. Although ordinary people, and scholars, may infer meanings that diverge from, or extend beyond, what authors intend, our experience of human artifacts as meaningful is fundamentally tied to our assumptions of intentionality. This challenges the traditional ideas of intentions as existing solely in the minds of individuals, and formulates a new conceptual framework for examining if and when intentions influence the interpretation of meaning.

Dracula of the Apes: THE APE by G. Wells Taylor Pdf

A GRIEVING SHE-APE whose son was murdered by an ambitious alpha male, mistakes Dracula’s regenerating body for a newborn of her species, so she names the foundling “Gazda” and takes him to her tribe to raise as her own. With only a “child’s mind” and no memory of his true identity, the unusual orphan uses his budding abilities to survive in the jungle and grow from social outcast to trusted member of the tribe. As Gazda matures into a peerless hunter, he wins friends and enemies among the bull apes who compete for dominance; and while his differences raise questions about his origins, the call of the wild overpowers their doubts. Dracula of the Apes picks up where Bram Stoker’s Dracula left off and Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan of the Apes began. Genres collide in this thrilling horror/adventure fiction hybrid.
