Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches? [ Matthew 25: 14,15 ] Limited portions are given to us. No one has received an unlimited number of talents. The Master first wanted to see what would be done with the talents given during this life. We cannot claim that we were given an immortal soul, when our lives, time, and talents are given to us temporarily. The way in which we use this short life, our members and given aptitudes will constitute the test required in order to receive eternal life. In order to obtain eternal life, a single thing is needed: "And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3).
