Sacrifice by Robert Petkovsek,Bojan Zalec Pdf

Various fundamental and vital areas and aspects of human life are in some way crucially interwoven with the ideas, ideals, and practices of sacrifice. As an attention-grabbing example of how importantly sacrifice may influence society, let us mention (suicide) terrorist attacks that by spreading sorrow, panics, and fear have changed the face of today's world. But the importance of sacrifice reaches broader and deeper. The authors of this book show that it is connected with the origins of human culture and its transformations. This interdisciplinary book brings the results of the research in the areas of humanities and social science. Various aspects of sacrifice are considered and connected. The book is an important contribution to the formation of a culture of sacrifice and offering, appropriate for the modern world. Professor Robert Petkovsek is the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, University of Ljubljana. Research Professor Bojan Zalec is the Head of the Institute of Philosophy and Social Ethics at the Faculty of Theology, University of Ljubljana.

God's Grand Design by William R. Arnold Pdf

God's Grand Design By: William R. Arnold, Edited by Ms. Aurora Payad-Arnold God’s Grand Design is to restore mankind to its original state of sacred perfection after Adam and Eve fell and created the original sin of disobedience, hiding, and lying to the Lord. When God cursed the serpent for tempting Adam and Eve to be like God, he promised to send his only begotten Son to save humanity. He did via the incarnate word in the womb of the immaculately conceived Virgin Mary. God wants to be man and receive a new body to defeat death through Jesus Christ. Man wants to become God to receive eternal life. Man’s journey to become God starts from being an ignorant baby gaining knowledge, to a cowardly teenager obtaining courage, to an adult converting greed to generosity, to a wise man changing selfishness to unselfishness, and at last, to a free man able to think for himself in eternal service to God in his kingdom. The journey requires him to know right from wrong, good from evil, and God’s will from man’s will and thus defeat evil, worldly temptations, and demonic possession. Through Christ, God and man are destined to become one through three advents, making the God/Man Christ into the new human spirit (blessings). Then, the Man/God Jesus becomes the new human flesh to make all things perfect in the sight of God. Jesus Christ came as a priest on a donkey to decode the Torah, bring knowledge, and remove blindness to defeat sin. By his death and resurrection, he granted free redemption to man’s flesh to give him a new body. The second coming of Jesus Christ as thief in the night will bring awakening to remove deafness by teaching God’s truths to defeat evil. As a just judge on a cloud on his third advent, the Lord will remove mankind’s dumbness to defeat death. And then man can become worthy of receiving God’s rewards of paradise in heaven or heaven on earth.

A Bible Study Investigation into Our Relationship to God and into ?The Time of the End? by Trevor Pope Pdf

Throughout the entire Christian era Adventist groups have been announcing that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent. This book is a reminder that until some awesome prophecies, of which Jesus warned, have been fulfilled, His return cannot be imminent. When questioned about the signs preceding His return Jesus warned of deception, of international hatred of Christians, and of the prophet Daniel's forecast of an unprecedented time of trouble that would almost destroy mankind. To those in Thessalonica long ago who believed the Lord's return was imminent the apostle Paul wrote, "You must allow no one to deceive you in any way. That day cannot come until the Great Rebellion has taken place." Quoting from Daniel Paul describes an appalling rebel, and how the Lord's appearing will remove him. Despite these warnings from Jesus and Paul many Christians today regard these old prophecies as largely metaphorical, and as having been fulfilled. To their infinite loss they overlook them and perpetuate the age-old prediction that the Lord's return is imminent, In contradiction to that, many prophecies related herein prove that the three and a half years of the "time of the end" have not yet begun.
