The Three Rs by John E. Gardner Pdf

Christianity is a critical religion. It is not represented this way in the modern era, but it is none the less. A modern Pastor of a mega-church refuses to preach on anything controversial. If Christ had possessed this attitude we would have no churches, no charity, no love, and no reformation. Christ was filled with controversy and his people (the Jews) insisted that the Roman kill him. They did. The book The Three Rs is an answer to this modern error which is propagated by friend and foe alike, The Scriptures represent the religion and people as salt, light and darkness, good and evil. This is controversy. The writing of the Reverend Danforth have received much attention recently because he is an Episcopal Priest, ex-Senator, and good Republican. He is in favor of everything from homo-sexual marriage to creating life for its destruction to save the life of living human beings. He says that he is opposed to abortion (without definition). The Three Rs simply asks people to return to the Bible for answers to all questions pertaining to man, especially his origin, purpose, and destiny. It is built around the ideal question: Can Christianity and radical liberalism co-exist? There is nothing wrong with liberalism in its pure form but radical liberalism of today will destroy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. George Washington and his continentals were all liberals. However, their conception of liberty and freedom differ from the definitions of today as far as night from day. The first President of the United States always understood that if "God build not the house, they labor in vain that built it." There is but one answer and that is a return to the three Rs which is a return to revival, reformation, and restoration. This will produce a renewal of the American spirit and a revival of thing "sacred and divine." All of this is formed from the ideas of faith, hope, and love which are eternal truths. We live in what some believe to be hopeless times, but for the believer in God we live, breathe, and embrace hope and optimism. I do not know the destiny of the United States but I do believe, understand, and know the destiny of the people of God. We are saved by the grace of God but that does not exclude our faithfulness and obedience. The Three Rs cover these topics. May all of it be faithful to His Will and Word.

Early 3 Rs by Lee Mountain Pdf

This practical, reader-friendly textbook for preservice and in-service early childhood education and early literacy courses provides "how-to-do-it" instructions for promoting emergent literacy in reading, writing, and arithmetic from preschool into the primary grades. Early 3 Rs answers the question: "What can I SAY and DO to give each child the best possible start on the 3 Rs?" With the strategies and materials in this book, a teacher can give personalized direct instruction in the 3 Rs to a beginner, in just a few minutes a day. The early chapters tell how to prepare a young child for reading, writing, and arithmetic. Subsequent chapters show how to give a beginner an early start on learning the 3 Rs. All strategies begin with the oral approach (from phonemic awareness to "arithme-talk") and then progress to print that is personally meaningful to a young child. Early 3 Rs: * Includes arithmetic as a component of early literacy. * Gives developmentally appropriate methods for direct teaching of the 3 Rs. * Provides scripts of what the teacher can say to promote early learning. * Helps education students in field-based classes offer personalized instruction. Early 3 Rs is written to be very reader friendly: the approach is intentionally eclectic; the writing deliberately avoids heavy theory; the goal is to provide an easy-to-use, highly practical and accessible guide for those who work in early childhood education settings.

Humans, Animals and Biopolitics by Kristin Asdal,Tone Druglitro,Steve Hinchliffe Pdf

Human-animal co-existence is central to a politics of life, how we order societies, and to debates about who ’we’ humans think ’we’ are. In other words, our ways of understanding and ordering human-animal relations have economic and political implications and affect peoples’ everyday lives. By bringing together historically-oriented approaches and contemporary ethnographies which engage with science and technology studies (STS), this book reflects the multi-sited, multi-species, multi-logic and multiple ways in which lives are and have been assembled, disassembled, practised and possibly policed and politicized. Instead of asking only how control and knowledge are and have been extended over life, the chapters in this book also look at what happens when control fails, at practices which defy orders, escape detection, fail to produce or only loosely hang together. In doing so the book problematises and extends the Foucauldian notion of biopolitics that has been such a central analytical concept in studies of human-animal relations and provides a unique resource of cases and theoretical refinements regarding the ways in which we live together with more than human others .
