Bible Studies 101 and 102 by Steven Sprague Pdf

When God declared that He had told us all things, it doesn't even begin to describe all the information awaiting us between the covers of the Bible. Each of the selected subject matters in this book is a condensed summary of my study of the topic as presented in the Bible with the correlated Bible scriptures cited for easy reference, reproof, and self-study. The first section of the book entitled "Bible Studies 101" is representative of some of the basic teachings from the Bible answering common questions surrounding subjects such as salvation, dealing with temptations, raising families, death, while adding a short history of the Bible, how to study it, an overview of the Books of the Bible, and more. The second section, "Bible Studies 102," holds deeper teachings of biblical subjects like the three world ages, the Kenites, healthy foods, birth of Christ, a two-part series on angels, signs of the end times, and others. The studies are taken directly from God's Word, unbridled by academia, religion, denomination, doctrine, tenant, tradition, philosophy or theology-just the Bible. Study resources are the King James Authorized Version Bible, the New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek language dictionaries), Green's Interlinear Bible (manuscripts of the original Hebrew and Greek text), and Webster's Dictionary. These studies will help open your Bible to understanding as written, but we have to read it. The Bible is His letter to us, teaching history, language, natural sciences, how to live productive, loving, healthy and happy lives, including our supernatural, spiritual, and eternal lives to follow and so much more. Our Father simply desires that His children grow in wisdom and love for Him as He loves us.

Bible Workbook, Volume 2: New Testament by Catherine B. Walker Pdf

Although this workbook was originally planned for high school Bible classes meeting every day for a semester, it has found a wider use by various age groups in churches and colleges and by individuals desiring direction in their personal Bible study. The workbook was first produced as a method of giving notes and assignment questions quickly, thereby leaving more valuable classroom time for explanations, discussions, and student participation. The workbook may be placed in a regulation size binder. Separate pages can be handed in when completed. Other notes, assigned papers, and themes can be placed throughout the notebook. This is in no sense a textbook. It is hoped that no one will make the completion of the workbook a goal in itself but that the questions and notes may stimulate and guide each student in searching and knowing the Bible. The questions do not cover all the important points in any chapter. It is hoped, however, in the course of the study that all the main New Testament teachings will be brought out. Most schools give about half the semester to the life of Christ in the gospels and the rest of the semester to Acts and the epistles. Three or four chapters a day are usually assigned. In order to cover all the main incidents in the life of Christ special emphasis has been chosen in each gospel. Studying Mark first, in four or five lessons, as a short survey of Christ’s life has proved a good start for students unfamiliar with the Bible. The main miracles and chief characters then become familiar. Matthew is more easily understood after having had this simple introduction to Christ through Mark. Matthew is studied with emphasis on the teachings of Christ. Students should become familiar with all unfamiliar terms. Places mentioned should be located on the map. In Luke the parables and new stories are especially noted. The more intimate revelation of Jesus given in John’s gospel should prove a personal blessing to each student. Students should become familiar with the content of the simple chronological outline of Christ’s life as drawn from the four gospels that has been included in this edition. The Acts and the epistles are taken in the order they appear in the Bible. The missionary message in Acts and the Christian life teachings in the epistles have been kept in mind. Since time prohibits the complete study of each epistle, a limited number of chapters have been selected for study. Several teachers assign the Revelation as parallel reading giving a brief preview at the time of the assignment and a discussion of the book after it has been read. It is my prayer that all who use this book will be guided by it into a deeper, more personal, knowledge of the living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as the written Word, the Bible. It is the teacher’s wonderful privilege to bring from the Scripture its vital, interesting message for personal living. Students sometimes come from a Bible course saying, “Yes, we learn the facts all right, but that Book is too dull and boring for me.” That teacher had failed to take advantage of a most wonderful privilege. The Book that was written to give men life should be taught in a way that presents real life to men. May students come from your class with the appreciation expressed in these comments: “Bible is the most interesting course I’ve ever had.” “I surely have learned to love the Bible. I read it every day, now.” “Studying Bible has not only cleared up questions that have always puzzled me but it has helped me so much in my everyday living.” “It was through that Bible course that I became a Christian. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.” CATHERINE B. WALKER.

Within the Bible, the book of Esther is interesting for many reasons. Perhaps at the top of the list is the fact that it never mentions God. His name is not brought up throughout the entirety of the book, and yet you still know God is there, working His plan through Esther. See how Esther's story can be a parallel to Christ's story, and how through her story you can see God working in your life today. This eight-lesson Bible study will give readers clear direction on how Christ has chosen and equipped them for God's beautiful plan.

A Life Beyond Amazing Study Guide by Dr. David Jeremiah Pdf

Why were people in the first century so drawn to Jesus of Nazareth? His powerful miracles and challenging teachings, for sure. But it was also His character. Humanity had never witnessed someone who is loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, compassionate, generous, faithful, humble, and self-controlled all the time. It was as if God Himself had become a human being to demonstrate the life that is possible–a life beyond amazing. The traits that Jesus demonstrated in His life were traits empowered by the Spirit of God who filled Him. When Jesus returned to heaven, He sent His Spirit to indwell all His true followers so they could display the same character in their lives–not for their benefit alone but to show the world the kind of life God intended us to enjoy. The apostle Paul called these traits "the fruit of the Spirit" (Galatians 5:22–23). In this A Life Beyond Amazing Study Guide, Dr. David Jeremiah describes the divinely empowered life that is possible for followers of Christ. Between introductory and concluding messages, Dr. Jeremiah explores each of the nine traits of a Spirit-filled life as outlined by the apostle Paul–traits that produce a life beyond amazing. Each lesson also includes: An outline of the main subjects and Scriptures covered during the lesson An overview of Dr. Jeremiah's teaching on the topic being studied Application questions to help individuals and small groups delve into the Bible A Did You Know? section that adds a point of interest to the lesson
