This report is a profile on child labour among girls and draws attention to the international legal framework as it relates to child labour. It identifies the reasons why it is important that the issues facing girls engaged in child labour be urgently addressed. Girls are highly vulnerable as many forms of girls' work is hidden, girls face multiple disadvantages, and have the "double burden" of having to combine household chores and economic activity, which as a result jeopardises their schooling.
