The Complete Works of Zacharias Tanee Fomum on Leadership (Volume 3) by Zacharias Tanee Fomum Pdf

The Complete Works of Zacharias Tanee Fomum on Leadership (Volume 3) contains the following books: Revolutionary Thoughts on Leadership (Volume 1) The Character and Personality of the Leader Basic Christian Leadership The Overcomer as a Servant of Man Making Spiritual Progress (Volume 1) This volume undertakes a study of the leadership substance and style of Joshua and other servant leaders in the Scriptures lased with live examples from the author and several other leaders in the kingdom. Revolutionary Thoughts on Leadership is a string of revolutionary perspectives on leadership that will provoke you, confront you, discipline you, rebuke you, correct you, stir you, and spur you on to aspire, desire, and require victorious and triumphant leadership. Servant leadership is the central focus of this volume. Jesus, our superb and supreme Model was an embodiment of servant leadership. A servant leader leads by not lording it over his followership. When a leader dedicates himself to serve his people, they will eventually be his servants forever. The old men told Rehoboam, If today you will be a servant to these people and serve them and give them a favourable answer, they will always be your servants (1 Kings 12:7). Everyone who will succeed as a leader must appropriate these words. Christian leadership hinges heavily on character. The man with an abundance of divine love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, endurance, and perseverance will definitely attract an increasing following in a foul and perverse world. We send this third volume on leadership out with a cry to the Lord that He should use it to build many into leaders of His people capable of leading them into the totality of God’s purposes in this generation and beyond.

Brecht's Tradition by Max Spalter Pdf

Originally published in 1967. Literary scholars often acknowledge that Brecht borrowed from a variety of traditions, including Goethe, Schiller, expressionists, naturalists, and realists, all of whom affected his work. However, they tend not to address any single tradition as exclusively Brecht's. From these various literary traditions, Brecht borrowed formal elements only; compared with other writers to whom he is indebted, Brecht exceeds them in cynicism. They do not convey anything like his pitiless debunking attitude, his corrosive anti-romanticism, his hardheaded refusal to idealize or glorify, and his suspicion of all sentimentalities. This book discusses what the author identifies as the "Brechtian sensibility." Chroniclers of drama have not totally ignored the Brechtian tradition, but too often they are content to note merely that Brecht shared with some writers—particularly Büchner and Wedekind—a proclivity for open drama and episodes of racy realism tinged with poetic feeling. Other critics have not closely studied the various plays of this tradition in order to show how they constitute a distinctive and well-defined species of theater to which Brecht unmistakably belongs.

The Iliad by Anonim Pdf

The Iliad is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, for which Barry Powell, one of the twenty-first century's leading Homeric scholars, has given us a magnificent new translation. Graceful, lucid, and energetic, Powell's translation renders the Homeric Greek with a simplicity and dignity reminiscent of the original. The text immediately engrosses students with its tight and balanced rhythms, while the incantatory repetitions evoke a continuous "stream of sound" that offers as good an impression of Homer's Greek as one could hope to attain without learning the language. Accessible, poetic, and accurate, Powell's translation is an excellent fit for today's students. With swift, transparent language that rings both ancient and modern, it exposes them to all of the rage, pleasure, pathos, and humor that are Homer's Iliad. Both the translation and the introduction are informed by the best recent scholarship. FEATURES * Uses well-modulated verse and accurate English that is contemporary but never without dignity * Powell's introduction sets the poem in its philological, mythological, and historical contexts * Features unique on-page notes, facilitating students' engagement with the poem * Embedded illustrations accompanied by extensive captions provide Greek and Roman visual sources for key passages in each of the poem's twenty-four books * Eight maps (the most of any available translation) provide geographic context for the poem's many place names * Audio recordings (read by Powell) of fifteen important passages are available at www.oup.com/us/powell and indicated in the text margin by an icon
