To bring it into harmony with our matriculation requirements he has in a few places given additional information, as in the treatment of the compound noun, and of infinitives and participles, and has made minor alterations where it seemed advisable. This book applies the techniques of systemic functional grammar to the description of the Old English historical dialect, 650-1150 CE.
