A Poet Unleashed by Karen L. Saunders Pdf

This book aims to shed light on several subjects from the author’s perspective, through personal connections with others, and observations of her surroundings. The poetry is one part, and the visual illustrations add another layer, in the hope that the reader may somehow understand and connect with the pain, happiness and appreciation experienced through this body of work. Through all experiences in life, both positive and negative. No matter how dark or how light, there is always room for growth, understanding and change of any person. There is always a silver lining in every cloud, as long as one is willing to look for it and learn. “Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: It takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility” William Wordsworth

Poets Unleashed by Anonim Pdf

POETS UNLEASHED - AN ANTHOLOGY is a compilation of just a few of the beautifully written poems of Ron Cross, Patricia Joe Schuman, Dennis Moore, Gisele Marasca, Al Michael, Thomas Lee Rhymes, Kim Shaver, Kathleen Redling and Mariano Rivera. As you read the poems in this book you will visualize the picture that each poet paints. You will feel the romantic tug on your heartstrings as you read the love poems, while other poems will invoke sadness, passion, hope and laughter. But, most of all, you will choose your favorite and the words will touch you deeply. The uniqueness of this book is that no poet stands above the others. Each poet has something to say and says it in his or her own words and style. Everyone who reads this book will find that special poem, the poets not only write for themselves but for us, the reader. These poems are given to us as a very special gift. To answer the question from Thomas "Where does the soul of a poet go?" It is here, in this book. Its presence is felt in each and every poem. Unleashed Poems by Jennifer Raygoza Pdf

"It’s not always easy to see the light when you’re surrounded by darkness. Sometimes you have to make your own way out of the hole." A collection of 23 poems, all written in my youth. I wrote a majority of them when I was sixteen to seventeen years old. This was a really hard time in my life. It was a time of heartbreak, pain, love, betrayal, and more. Writing these poems was a dose of sanity when the world around me was corrupting. It was my outlet when I couldn't breathe, and my safety rope when I was drowning. We don't get to pick our story in life. Usually the story picks you. So, with this release I am hoping to show inspiration. You can survive, and you can move on from your dark place. I dedicate this book to all the youth out there going through any type of struggle.

This book is NOT for the literary critics or the interpreters who sit as gods judging what is and what is NOT poetry or who is and who is NOT a poet! This book is NOT for those in authority or those that prohibit authority of expression thus the title UNLEASHED. This book is filled with joy, lined with heart felt questions, marked with pain and will take you on a poetic journey. We will take the reader on a visionary quest demonstrating we "All" have the strength to preserver and see what we see! After all, people do see with different perspectives. All the imagery and symbols that make up poetry can be found pressed upon the pages within, but what we, and the fellow authors of this book hope you will discover is. . . clear and accessible words with a language that speaks to you from the heart and maybe even alters the way you perceive the world.

Landmark Cases in the Law of Punitive Damages by James Goudkamp,Eleni Katsampouka Pdf

Punitive damages are private law's most controversial remedy. This book traces the development of the jurisdiction from the foundational decisions of Huckle v Money and Wilkes v Wood in England, to leading modern cases such as Harris v Digital Pulse Pty Ltd in Australia, Whiten v Pilot Insurance Co in Canada, Couch v AG (No 2) in New Zealand, PH Hydraulics and Engineering Pte Ltd v Airtrust (Hong Kong) Ltd in Singapore and Mathias v Accor Economy Lodging, Inc and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co v Campbell in the United States. Many of the decisions addressed are not only landmarks regarding punitive damages but are among the most important judgments delivered in private law more generally. The essays, which are written by leading scholars from a wide range of jurisdictions, cast new light on the cases covered. They do so by examining their historical antecedents and the impact that they have had on the development of the law. The full spectrum of issues regarding punitive damages is addressed including the insurability of punishment, constitutional constraints on the remedy's availability and whether the award should be confined to particular causes of action. The collection will be of interest to all scholars and students of private law. It concentrates on common law cases although civilian perspectives, drawn from France and Germany, are also offered.

Transmedia Creatures by Francesca Saggini,Anna Enrichetta Soccio Pdf

On the 200th anniversary of the first edition of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Transmedia Creatures presents studies of Frankenstein by international scholars from converging disciplines such as humanities, musicology, film studies, television studies, English and digital humanities. These innovative contributions investigate the afterlives of a novel taught in a disparate array of courses - Frankenstein disturbs and transcends boundaries, be they political, ethical, theological, aesthetic, and not least of media, ensuring its vibrant presence in contemporary popular culture. Transmedia Creatures highlights how cultural content is redistributed through multiple media, forms and modes of production (including user-generated ones from “below”) that often appear synchronously and dismantle and renew established readings of the text, while at the same time incorporating and revitalizing aspects that have always been central to it. The authors engage with concepts, value systems and aesthetic-moral categories—among them the family, horror, monstrosity, diversity, education, risk, technology, the body—from a variety of contemporary approaches and highly original perspectives, which yields new connections. Ultimately, Frankenstein, as evidenced by this collection, is paradoxically enriched by the heteroglossia of preconceptions, misreadings, and overreadings that attend it, and that reveal the complex interweaving of perceptions and responses it generates. Published by Bucknell University Press. Distributed worldwide by Rutgers University Press.

The Longing for Myth in Germany by George S. Williamson Pdf

Since the dawn of Romanticism, artists and intellectuals in Germany have maintained an abiding interest in the gods and myths of antiquity while calling for a new mythology suitable to the modern age. In this study, George S. Williamson examines the factors that gave rise to this distinct and profound longing for myth. In doing so, he demonstrates the entanglement of aesthetic and philosophical ambitions in Germany with some of the major religious conflicts of the nineteenth century. Through readings of key intellectuals ranging from Herder and Schelling to Wagner and Nietzsche, Williamson highlights three crucial factors in the emergence of the German engagement with myth: the tradition of Philhellenist neohumanism, a critique of contemporary aesthetic and public life as dominated by private interests, and a rejection of the Bible by many Protestant scholars as the product of a foreign, "Oriental" culture. According to Williamson, the discourse on myth in Germany remained bound up with problems of Protestant theology and confessional conflict through the nineteenth century and beyond. A compelling adventure in intellectual history, this study uncovers the foundations of Germany's fascination with myth and its enduring cultural legacy.
