The Robin That Could Not Sing by Dr. Raymond Dunn Pdf

This inspirational tale tells the story of a little robin and how his life changed when he stopped trying to be like the other birds and just accepted himself for who and what he was. Robins are known to sing beautiful tunes that fill the trees with enchanting music, but this little robin just didn't fit in until, one day, he learned that there are things more important than trying to be like others. The embedded message in the story will surely make the reader reflect on their own limitation and why, like the little robin, they, too, are special.

Every Robin Sings... by J. D. Fullmer Pdf

Every Robin Sings... shares what was a surprise to the author – and largely why he wrote the book. Poetry is powerful - a tool - one of life’s great game changers – while yet a far more powerful tool – private poetry – at our fingertips – often - is missed or dismissed. Passing through this all too brief adventure of consciousness – without a voice – verses – of our own – is one of the more serious forms of poverty. Interestingly – writing a poem is not about the poem – but the process of learning to live – poetically. To illustrate the process and power of our private written words – 23 of the author's once private poems make the case – sharing insights into poem creation, stories, and life altering impacts –and ranging in topics, styles, forms, and genres. Our astonishing futures begin as poems.

The House Where the Robin Sings by Marianne Marullo Pdf

As a caregiver for over 20 years to my mother, writing stories became a way to escape into a world of make believe. I have been asked "How do you write a children's story?" Well, you put your mind into that of a 10 year old child and write! Since I have the brain of a 10 year old, it wasn't hard! I have always been a lover of animals and birds. There wasn't a year I can remember that we didn't have a parakeet in the house. That's because I was allergic to cats, long haired dogs and horses. My dream of being a veterinarian was curtailed at a very early age, I can assure you. I actually took up writing in 2005 with "My Fine Feathered (and Furry) Friends" (published by Publish America). It was a humorous look at feeding the birds and animals where I work. Since then I have been writing short animal stories and decided it was time for a children's book. This book is the end result. In the ever increasing "electronic world" we live in I believe there is still nothing better than curing up with a good book. As a child, reading can make your imagination soar and take you places you've never been before. It did with me. It is my hope that these stories will become favorites of you and your children. If they make you giggle or just go "Awww!" my work is complete. Please feel free to write to me at [email protected]. I would love to hear from you.

The Singing Life of Birds by Donald Kroodsma Pdf

Listen to birds sing as you’ve never listened before, as the world-renowned birdsong expert Donald Kroodsma takes you on personal journeys of discovery and intrigue. Read stories of wrens and robins, thrushes and thrashers, warblers and whip-poor-wills, bluebirds and cardinals, and many more bird. Learn how each acquires its songs, how songs vary from bird to bird and place to place, how some birds' singing is especially beautiful or ceaseless or complex, how some do not sing at all, how the often quiet female has the last word, and why. Hear a baby wren and the author’s own daughter babble as each learns its local dialect. Listen to the mockingbird by night and by day and count how many different songs he can sing. Marvel at the exquisite harmony in the duet of a wood thrush as he uses his two voice boxes to accompany himself. Feel the extraordinary energy in the songs just before sunrise as dawn’s first light sweeps across this singing planet. Learn not only to hear but to see birds sing in the form of sonagrams, as these visual images dance across the pages while you listen to the accompanying audio. Using your trained ears and eyes, you can begin your own journeys of discovery. Listen anew to birds in your backyard and beyond, exploring the singing minds of birds as they tell all that they know. The Robin and the Raven by Robin Elaine Baldwin Pdf

This is a story of a true event, written in an allegory form. Both the event of the two raven birds and my own personal story are one in the same. As the raven’s tragedy is underway, mine was about to unfold during the next four years. The day of the ravens, an impression came to my heart that I would write a book on these two birds as my story one day. This story is about faith, hope, love, reconciliation, and redemption. God used a true event of two birds to show us His compassion and mercy for His wounded children.
