A Stroll at Leisure with God by John D. Talbert Pdf

The word "cancer" is frightening. What happens when a doctor tells you that you have cancer? How do you deal with that? What goes on in the immediate aftermath of that diagnosis? What is chemotherapy like? How will you feel? These are only a few of the questions that proliferate when we face any uncertain turn in the road of life. A Stroll at Leisure with God is a unique perspective of how to walk with the Lord through any crisis or life’s daily challenges. Through it all, whatever comes our way, we can learn what it truly means to have faith, even in times of crisis.

In His Love and Glorious Service by Charlie Lusco Pdf

The In His Love and Glorious Service trilogy will help guide you every day with a new message of love, encouragement, truth, wisdom, personal testimony, poetry, life messages and down -to-earth examples from lives I have encountered. I believe that we are called in our lives to serve God through loving our families, friends, co-workers, neighbors and all of those around us (even our enemies)! We are also all on a journey in life to either live for ourselves or for others. God demands humility and devotion, but also understands that we need to be strong, and these daily messages will help you, my beloved, to look to Him and gain that strength, that wisdom, and that love which only He can provide. These daily devotions will also help you recognize how to serve Him through His faithfulness, and His eternal and unconditional love for you - His child. These devotions are not ordinary short bits of commentary. This journey is split into three books of four months each. Each devotional will bring you God's heart through this unworthy yet willing vessel. Each days message will bring you God's Word, thoughts and visions, and a poem about that particular topic. These three "Seasons of Service" will help you stay on track each day, and encourage you to stay focused on your journey with Jesus. It is my fervent hope that you open up your heart each day to God, and allow your spirit to join with His Holy Spirit, as you walk through each season and feel His presence in your life. Feel the freedom to become one with Him and learn to walk in His love and glorious service.

Talking the Walk & Walking the Talk by Marc Shell Pdf

This book argues that we should regard walking and talking in a single rhythmic vision. In doing so, it contributes to the theory of prosody, our understanding of respiration and looking, and, in sum, to the particular links, across the board, between the human characteristics of bipedal walking and meaningful talk. The author first introduces the philosophical, neurological, anthropological, and aesthetic aspects of the subject in historical perspective, then focuses on rhetoric and introduces a tension between the small and large issues of rhythm. He thereupon turns his attention to the roles of breathing in poetry—as a life-and-death matter, with attention to beats and walking poems. This opens onto technical concepts from the classical traditions of rhetoric and philology. Turning to the relationship between prosody and motion, he considers both animals and human beings as both ostensibly able-bodied creatures and presumptively disabled ones. Finally, he looks at dancing and writing as aspects of walking and talking, with special attention to motion in Arabic and Chinese calligraphy. The final chapters of the book provide a series of interrelated representative case studies.

Walking in the Garden with God by Lydia B. Miller Pdf

Our Walk with the Lord begins when we take our first step in faith by believing that Jesus is who he says he is. Thereafter, day after day, we willingly take up our cross and attempt to follow in his footsteps, finding out all too soon that “The Way” is not easy. Some will not understand our belief in the “invisible God.” They will consider us fools and secretly despise us for claiming to see what they cannot. While they may be blind to his presence, we see God everywhere, and in everything. Ours is a life-long spiritual journey which tests our strength, courage, faith, and convictions. While it may seem that we are walking alone, we are not. The Lord is always with us. Look around my friends...there are other Believers, each walking at their own pace...some far ahead, while others trail behind. Occasionally, someone comes along who falls into step and walks the long road with us. Know that they have been intentionally sent by God to pick us up when we stumble and fall, get lost, or become discouraged. We need their uplifting prayers, encouragement, and testimonies of faith, to remind us never to give up hope. This book is about my walk with The Lord. However, I believe the sentiments expressed are not mine alone, but universal to Christians everywhere. It is my hope that the words God has given me, will also minister to you as you walk your walk.
