Barefoot in His Presence by Gerhard Kotzé Pdf

A Fire that keeps on burning. That is the way God chose to reveal Himself to Moses. His resources are infinite. There is no end to Him. He is from eternity to eternity. God loves to involve people in what He is doing. He reached out to Moses who, like me and you, blew a previous opportunity. He involves people like that in what He is doing. He fills them with His Sprit, who works in them a longing toward their God, which is best expressed through prayer. The infinite One touching and empowering the finite ones. ‘Barefoot in His presence’ follows the footsteps of Jesus to see how God es¬tablishes His will and purpose on earth in hearts that are yielded to Him. Of the twelve disciples that He chose, only one asked, “Lord teach us to pray”. He drew them all together to teach them what He Himself is still doing to this very day.

Walking Barefoot by Jeff Doles Pdf

TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES, YOU ARE ON HOLY GROUND! When Moses approached the burning bush, in Exodus 3, the Lord spoke to him and said, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground” (v. 5). Moses found himself in the powerful, purposeful presence of God. On that day he began to walk barefoot. Walking Barefoot is about learning to recognize and respond to God’s presence in our lives. Like Moses, we must realize that God’s presence is holy ~ He’ll not have us separated from Him by any of our human contrivances. It’s about an ongoing relationship, learning to love God deeply, trusting Him more and more, partnering with Him in the world, flowing in His power to fulfill His purposes. These writings are about faith, the things that activate it and the things that hinder it. They are about praying according to the will of God and expecting to see results. They are about speaking in agreement with the Word of God in ways that are life-changing and world-changing. They are about God’s desire to bless, heal and prosper His people. They are about receiving the wonderful inheritance we have in God, and passing it on to our children. They are about healing, for the inner and outer man. They are about giving and forgiving ~ and thanksgiving. They are about growing strong in faith and joyfully enduring in difficult situations. They are about moving mountains. In this book you will learn about: • The power of faith, and how to activate it • The power of praying God’s will and expecting to see results • The power of speaking God’s Word over your life • The power of agreement • The power of giving, forgiving and thanksgiving • The power of praying over your children • The power of your inheritance in God and how to pass it on • The power of Jesus’ healing ministry today

Watch Your Step! by John A. Keller Pdf

7 Questions about this book. 1. When did I write Watch Your Step! Barefoot in a Broken-Glass World? I began this project in 2010 when my oldest son was being deployed as an infantryman in the U.S. Army to Afghanistan. This was a difficult time for me, I knew my son was strong and capable, however, the question that kept coming back to me was, "is he really ready for this?" 2. What was your inspiration? With my son in the middle of combat, I kept asking myself was he ready? Was his training sufficient to meet the threats he would certainly face? The greatest danger to soldiers is I.E.D.’s (improvised explosive devices), thus the name, “Watch Your Step!” With this on my mind, I was studying the book of Proverbs with an expert on the original languages when I discovered that the word for wisdom in the original Hebrew "hockmah" defined as- “skill of technical work, craftsmanship, execution of battle tactics.” The last part of the definition caught me by surprise. Although my son’s deployment was the inspiration, the book is not about that, it is about our own battle tactics against the lure of an evil and fallen world. 3. What is the book about? The book is written to follow the Proverbs written by Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived. He wrote it as a warning from a father to his now grown children as they journeyed out on their own into the world. We are born with two powerful enemies—our own sinful natures and Satan—and it is our task to shun these enemies by learning how to identify and avoid the traps of life. 4. How can it help others? This book is written to share with my audience some of the traps I have identified through my own life experiences and to teach techniques for identifying and combating the pitfalls of life. 5. What does the book promote? Making decisions based on the unchanging truth of God’s Word. 6. What is it against? Ruining ones’ life, by making uninformed and foolish choices based on feelings, peer pressure and our own sinful natures. 7. What is your hope for this project? First; that those who read it will recognize the areas in their lives they need to bring into alignment with the will of God. Secondly; by gaining biblical wisdom, they will avoid much self-inflicted pain and have greater success in their lives. Thirdly, they will learn to value their life and make the most of the time God has given them on this side of eternity.

Health Care and Traditional Medicine in China 1800-1982 by S. M. Hillier,Tony Jewell Pdf

First published in 1983. Beginning with the period of the early expansion of Western missionary medicine, this account covers the chaotic years of Nationalist rule to the foundations of the People's Republic in 1949. It trances the major influences on health care since then and describes the conflicts of State bureaucracy, Party and medical profession in their attempts to match political objectives in health care to resources available. An outline of the theory of Chinese traditional medicine, together with detailed accounts of acupuncture and plant drugs are also discussed, as are specific features of the health care system, such as population control, medical education, nutrition and psychiatry.

Farewell to the God of Plague by Miriam Gross Pdf

Farewell to the God of Plague reassesses the celebrated Maoist health care model through the lens of MaoÕs famous campaign against snail fever. Using newly available archives, Miriam Gross documents how economic, political, and cultural realities led to grassroots resistance. Nonetheless, the campaign triumphed, but not because of its touted mass-prevention campaign. Instead, success came from its unacknowledged treatment arm, carried out jointly by banished urban doctors and rural educated youth. More broadly, the author reconsiders the relationship between science and political control during the ostensibly antiscientific Maoist era, discovering the important role of Ògrassroots scienceÓ in regime legitimation and Party control in rural areas.

Obligation by Liu Jia Pdf

This book explores the shifting nature of physician–patient relationship in China. Specifically, it takes the physician–patient relationship during the barefoot doctor program in 1968–1978, the marketization of healthcare in 1978–2002, and the healthcare reform in 2003–2020 as three historical periods, illustrating how the nature of the physician–patient relationship has changed over time. Analyzing the ways in which law and social policies—involving the doctrine of informed consent, public hospital reform, and systemic healthcare reform—have in different ways shaped and changed the practices of physicians and patients, which illustrates how the bond between them threatens to collapse. With a uniquely vivid depiction of Chinese healthcare issues, this book will interest sociologists, China scholars and more.

Finding God's Will by Gregg Matte Pdf

Pastor Gregg Matte writes, "God's will is not the needle in the haystack discovered only by 'Navy SEALs for Jesus'; it is actually the hay in the haystack to be found by every believer." This is great news for any Christian who has ever wondered about finding and living in the will of God. Through an extensive, intimate examination of God's encounter with Moses in the burning bush, Finding God's Will invites readers to shift their understanding of God's will from an event to be experienced to a process to live; God's will is what happens when we seek him. Readers will discover how to be on the lookout for their own burning bushes, how to focus on pleasing "Thee not they," and how to expect God's power as they seek his will. They may also be surprised to find that, as they seek a deeper relationship with God, his direction and guidance become clear. A life centered in God's will is a promise offered to every believer and every Christian can learn how to receive that gift.
