"Begone Satan" follows two priests' ordeal with an exorcism of a forty year-old woman in Earling, Iowa. The women being exorcised is a forty year old woman who had been filled with the demons since she was fourteen years-old. At first the priests do not know the cause of the demons but later find out that both her Aunt Mina, who was one of the demons, and her father Jacob, also a demon, placed curses on her when she was young. She was a very pious woman but the demons prevented her from leading a normal life. She had been examined by doctors of all sorts to try and discover a reason for her behavior but none could be found. So she agrees to go along with the exorcism. The book is a battle between the forces of good and evil right from the start. As soon as the first prayer is said on the first day she jumped and clung to a wall in the church. For most of the book the woman is unconscious and the demons are talking through her. The priests encounter 4 powerful demons along with countless weaker demons. The exorcism lasted for 23 days. It was a very consuming process of all parties involved. In the book Fr. Theophilus is said to be in excellent condition but by the end he looks as if he aged twenty years. The exorcism is a trying time for everyone involved. It almost claimed the life of Fr. Steiger when Satan tried to scare him out of completing the exorcism. Mary Crushes the Serpent and Begone Satan! by Celestine Kapsner,Priest Anonymous Exorcist Pdf
In the first book is recounted the author's 30 years' experience as an exorcist. "I will first state what the demons said about the present state of the Church and their diabolical plans... Then the plan Mary seems to have adopted to come to the aid of the Church in her present plight." The second book is an account of an exorcism in Iowa in 1928.
Satan in America tells the story of America's complicated relationship with the devil. "New light" evangelists of the eighteenth century, enslaved African Americans, demagogic politicians, and modern American film-makers have used the devil to damn their enemies, explain the nature of evil and injustice, mount social crusades, construct a national identity, and express anxiety about matters as diverse as the threat of war to the dangers of deviant sexuality. The idea of the monstrous and the bizarre providing cultural metaphors that interact with historical change is not new. Poole takes a new tack by examining this idea in conjunction with the concerns of American religious history. The book shows that both the range and the scope of American religiousness made theological evil an especially potent symbol. Satan appears repeatedly on the political, religious, and cultural landscape of the United States, a shadow self to the sunny image of American progress and idealism.

Satan is interested in your personal downfall. Just as the Lord is a personal God, Satan is also a personal spirit. His goal is to lure even the strongest Christian into his domain. Dr. Lutzer talks of ten difficult biblical concepts of Satan and his power and presents them in an understandable manner together with advice applicable to today's society. He details the history of Satan's total rejection of goodness and the ramifications of that rejection for each one of us. Dr. Lutzer points out the cunning traps the accuser uses to draw us into sin. He follows with sound, biblical methods for combatting the enemy. Satan has a course he would like each of us to take, but as Dr. Lutzer notes, we can choose Christ's glorious plan for our lives and "shatter Satan's evil plan."
