The poems all tell a tale of exactly what it is like having the blues.
The time has arrived or should I say, you have arrived. You had to crawl before you could walk, endure before you could enjoy. Now that you have, I must say weve been waiting for you to end one season and enter into another, so welcome to the Shedding Season; the third phase of your journey. The Shedding Season will help you remove your makeup or take off your steel toe boots, whatever the case maybe. Its going to undress you and strip you naked; all you have to do is listen. Its a blueprint for cleaning out your closet and getting rid of those unwanted; unhealthy remembrance of hell on earth or simply enjoy the sweet fragrance of life. Its time to take another look in the mirror and hopefully this time youll like what you see, if not its time we fixed that. Like unwrapping a present at Christmas time, you also had to be unwrapped, in order for the real you to live like your suppose to. Youve shedded the old you and now its time to let the world see what you were created to be. This is your Shedding Season, grab it and never let go. John Lee Johnson in the Valley of the Sun: Along Came Jones by Conn Hamlett Pdf
John Lee Johnson in the Valley of the Sun is part of a series pitting John Lee Johnson, the powerfully strong and talented gunman against his nemesis, former Brigadier-General Frank McGrew, a very wealthy steel and railroad magnate. Their enmity goes back to the Civil War (just recently ended.) McGrew has hired private assassins; has sent waves of gunman. He even lured the big Texan into a pit fight with the meanest man alive. When Johnson defeated the toughest man in Chihuahua in a wild and exciting slugfest, McGrew conceived the plan to entice Johnson to return to Chihuahua, Mexico to brace the fastest gunman known on the planet for $100,000 in Mexican gold. The location is the Valley of the Sun...a desolate place of death. Beneath a cruel, inexorable sun constantly shining on nauseating yellow sand---surrounded by stark mountains that form a horseshoe shape valley lay the ruins of both a Christian mission and a sacrificial Aztec altar from centuries past. The hauntingly beautiful Marilla Urmacher, once an enemy to John Lee Johnson, but now a faithful ally comes to his rescue. She sends California's best gunfighter to run interference for the man she secretly loves, John Lee Johnson. The struggles on the journey and the list of strange characters that John Lee Johnson encounters make this an excellent read. It is a classic story of good versus bad. The reader may wonder if good will really win in the end. This western is different. It is not just a melodrama. It pits the money and influence of a wealthy man against the strongest and most singular man in Texas. Their struggles against each other influences so many other singular individuals that are caught up in this eventual death struggle.

Relationships aren't always straight forward. Love, occurs in many different ways. This book takes you inside some unique relationships. Blinded by Love deals with the love stories some see as taboo. Five different tales reveal what goes on behind closed doors and how people cope with Love, doesn't conform to society's ideal relationships.
It is written in Proverbs, "A beautiful woman who has no sense is like a gold ring in a pig's nose." This may be true but perhaps the greater tragedy is when those closest to her are also blinded by her beauty. This story, "Blinded by Beauty" is a tale of deception and heartache for Joseph, in which the ultimate place of sanctity - marriage - also becomes the very source of pain and sorrow. The former Marine becomes a cop, a father, a husband, a step-father, and ultimately a convicted felon because of the poor choices he makes in trusting the woman closest to him.The aftermath of the break-up of his first marriage and undiagnosed severe depression, PTSD, anxiety disorder, and OCD, leaves Joseph numb and desperate for a family. In this void he meets the beautiful Jezebel who seems to be the exact woman he has been looking for with a ready-made family he can bring his own son into. Blinded by her beauty and a fool for love, Joseph marries Jezebel when she falls pregnant with his child. But even before the nuptials, cracks begin to appear in their relationship. Jezebel is needy, self-harms, pulls a knife on him, bites him, and breaks his ankle. It is also clear she has numerous addictions such as caffeine, alcohol, pills and even a constant need for sex. When they finally marry, Joseph finds himself pulled into a web of lies and deceit that involve convicting her former partner on false charges of molesting her daughter. When it is revealed this partner is actually the son of her former husband, Joseph is horrified and starts to look for ways out of the marriage while still seeking to provide a home for their newborn daughter Paige and his stepchildren. Even though he is working as a police officer and saw how she had her former partner convicted, Joseph still has little idea just how far Jezebel can or will go to cause him harm. Violent and unhinged, it's like she has a split personality, not allowing him to sleep after night shifts and resenting his own son so much his first wife takes out a court order to get permission to move to another state. As the depth of Jezebel's depravity and adultery becomes apparent, Joseph seeks comfort in another relationship sending Jezebel over the edge. But when she attacks him and he calls the police, they arrest him for assault. With his back up against a wall, Joseph finally serves Jezebel with divorce papers and she responds by reporting him to child welfare officers to have Paige taken away from him. Jezebel is in rehab at the time promising to change, but forms sexual relationships with men in the facility, and even the detective investigating the assault case. As the dream of having a loving family cracks, how will Joseph save himself and his daughter?
The prophet Jeremiah lived in perilous and strange times, just like we do. He was elected and sanctified and appointed prophet by God unto the nations, foremost to Judah but also to the neighboring nations. Jeremiah lived in times of great apostasy, just like we do. Judah had forsaken the LORD, the covenant, the Law and God sent Jeremiah to tell the people that if they did not return to the LORD, the covenant and the Law that God would have to forsake them and to punish them by Nebuchadnezzar, the Chaldean king. They would have to return to the LORD, and to stop shedding innocent blood, stop with their adultery, stop with their idolatry; “For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings” (Jer. 4:3-4). Judah did not hearken to the LORD, they did not return to the LORD, they did not stop shedding innocent blood, they did not stop with their idolatry, they did not stop with their adultery, so the LORD punishes them as promised by carrying them away to Babylon for seventy years. When reading the book of Jeremiah, it is very clear that his message is very timeless, one could believe that Jeremiah could stand here in contemporary Christianity in the end of 2022 and preach the same message, it would fit right in. We have forsaken the LORD and we have forsaken his Word. This is our greatest sin, and if we do not repent and return to the LORD and his Word the same fate will befall us. At least in Sweden has contemporary Christianity shown its contempt for God’s Word, and a great apostasy is lingering showing its face everywhere. God’s Word is denied, the order of creation is denied, no clear teaching is at all on the horizon. And they laugh to scorn any message of doom and judgment. I have therefore written this book, hoping to wake up an disobedient Christianity.
