Bob & Rob & Corn on the Cob by Anonim Pdf

Bob and Rob are two squirrels who just love eating corn on the cob. Their friends—a duck, a dog, a chicken, and a piglet—also love corn on the cob, but not Ella Mae Dobbs, a rabbit with a more refined palate. She’s a little bit of a snob when it comes to trying foods she doesn’t like. She prefers curly-cut carrots, hot cheese fondue, and especially tofu! Bob and Rob devise a plan to get Ella Mae to try corn on the cob—and in return they will try some of her favorite foods too. And while they may not find their next favorite food, Bob, Rob, and even Ella Mae Dobbs find that it’s important to try new foods. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you find. From debut author and illustrator Todd McQueen, Bob & Rob & Corn on the Cob is a whimsical, educational, and hilarious romp into the world of two corn on the cob–loving squirrels. Perfect for the picky eater in your life who isn’t getting the message through Green Eggs and Ham, this is sure to have them giggling while trying foods they originally turned up their noses at. For ages 3 to 6, this is the book all parents will want their picky eaters to read this summer. The playful rhyming of the text makes this a great read-aloud at home or at school and Bob and Rob are sure to become kids' next favorite story-book characters. Sky Pony Press, with our Good Books, Racehorse and Arcade imprints, is proud to publish a broad range of books for young readers—picture books for small children, chapter books, books for middle grade readers, and novels for young adults. Our list includes bestsellers for children who love to play Minecraft; stories told with LEGO bricks; books that teach lessons about tolerance, patience, and the environment, and much more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.

Ima Pea by Cathy Easter Breland Pdf

Have you ever looked forward to something with such excitement and anticipation that it completely consumed you? You thought about it constantly during the day, dreamed about it at night, and talked about it incessantly. You could hardly wait for it to occur. You couldn't eat. You couldn't sleep. You paced the floor, hoping time would pass quickly; but the hands on the clock seemed to have stopped. Finally the waiting was over! Your heart was pounding. Your body was shaking. And then it was there! And it was a dud! A disappointment! A disaster! Not at all what you had been anxiously awaiting. Now you are no longer filled with excitement and anticipation; you are devastated and deeply depressed! Every day, everywhere, children and youth are devastated and deeply depressed over the disappointment of their "it." And there are a multitude of "its" for them ... parents; siblings; extended family; friends; enemies; rivals; bullies; peer pressure; relationships with the opposite sex; responsibilities; school; health, including disorders; money; and on and on and on. What ways do they find to cope with their depression? Sadly, most often through inappropriate behaviors toward themselves and others; addictions to drugs, alcohol, and sex; eating disorders; and attempts to commit suicide. Because of the seriousness of these issues, Ima Pea was written. Through Ima's adventures and the interactive study guide, children and youth will be introduced to the greatest truth and joy, who changes lives now and forever!

Robert Rauschenberg by Sara Sinclair,Peter Bearman,Mary Marshall Clark Pdf

Robert Rauschenberg (1925–2008) was a breaker of boundaries and a consummate collaborator. He used silk-screen prints to reflect on American promise and failure, melded sculpture and painting in works called combines, and collaborated with engineers and scientists to challenge our thinking about art. Through collaborations with John Cage, Merce Cunningham, and others, Rauschenberg bridged the music, dance, and visual-art worlds, inventing a new art for the last half of the twentieth century. Robert Rauschenberg is a work of collaborative oral biography that tells the story of one of the twentieth century’s great artists through a series of interviews with key figures in his life—family, friends, former lovers, professional associates, studio assistants, and collaborators. The oral historian Sara Sinclair artfully puts the narrators’ reminiscences in conversation, with a focus on the relationship between Rauschenberg’s intense social life and his art. The book opens with a prologue by Rauschenberg’s sister and then shifts to New York City’s 1950s and ’60s art scene, populated by the luminaries of abstract expressionism. It follows Rauschenberg’s eventual move to Florida’s Captiva Island and his trips across the globe, illuminating his inner life and its effect on his and others’ art. The narrators share their views on Rauschenberg’s work, explore the curatorial thinking behind exhibitions of his art, and reflect on the impact of the influx of money into the contemporary art market. Included are artists famous in their own right, such as Laurie Anderson and Brice Marden, as well as art-world insiders and lesser-known figures who were part of Rauschenberg’s inner circle. Beyond considering Rauschenberg as an artist, this book reveals him as a man embedded in a series of art worlds over the course of a long and rich life, demonstrating the complex interaction of business and personal, public and private in the creation of great art.

This research-based book is an ideal teaching resource for the emergent reader. Contained in this particular edition are activities developed to teach skills that combined student’s and teacher’s manuals from Levels B and C in the Phonics, Rhythms, and Rhymes Reading Program. This approximate 250 page book is the combined two books which would, in regular print size, constitute a total of 800 pages. Each of the four books are available separately. The teacher’s editions are available in regular-print size and sold separately in most book stores. Information and prices are presented on the website www.PhonicsRhythmsRhymes.com. This book continues by etching a lasting memory of the vowel sounds and blending them to consonants. Blending is riming in this program and it is easy for the teacher to lead in and the students to follow. Phonics, Rhythms, & Rhymes is an engaging medium for explicit instruction about specific spelling-sound correspondence and the alphabetic principle in general. Rhyming (riming, blending) provides opportunities for self-assessment and correction, as construction of sound in each new word is compared with the sounds of words that students know. It supports students who are struggling to recognize letters automatically by reinforcing letters and sounds already learned. The research based program activities accentuate beginning and ending sounds which is vital in speaking, spelling, and writing Standard English words. Meanwhile, the physical manipulation of letters on pages accommodate students who might otherwise have difficulty sustaining their attention in whole-group instruction. While literacy in K, 1st, and 2nd grade is based on skill mastery of blending consonants to vowels, digraphs, diphthongs, and finals; literacy in the 3rd grade is based on skill mastery of blending consonant blends to vowels, digraphs, diphthongs, and endings; and literacy in the 4th grade and Intervention engenders all of the skills. Our research-based program has developed this opportunity to make dreams come true for students, teachers, and parents.
