It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed by the mixed messages of what it means to live well. Kendra Adachi, the creator of the Lazy Genius movement, invites you to live well by your own definition and equips you to be a genius about what matters and lazy about what doesn’t. Everything from your morning routine to napping without guilt falls into place with Kendra’s thirteen Lazy Genius principles, including: • Decide once • Start small • Ask the Magic Question • Go in the right order • Schedule rest Discover a better way to approach your relationships, work, and piles of mail. Forensic Analysis by National Research Council,Division on Earth and Life Studies,Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology,Committee on Scientific Assessment of Bullet Lead Elemental Composition Comparison Pdf

Since the 1960s, testimony by representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in thousands of criminal cases has relied on evidence from Compositional Analysis of Bullet Lead (CABL), a forensic technique that compares the elemental composition of bullets found at a crime scene to the elemental composition of bullets found in a suspect's possession. Different from ballistics techniques that compare striations on the barrel of a gun to those on a recovered bullet, CABL is used when no gun is recovered or when bullets are too small or mangled to observe striations. Forensic Analysis: Weighing Bullet Lead Evidence assesses the scientific validity of CABL, finding that the FBI should use a different statistical analysis for the technique and that, given variations in bullet manufacturing processes, expert witnesses should make clear the very limited conclusions that CABL results can support. The report also recommends that the FBI take additional measures to ensure the validity of CABL results, which include improving documentation, publishing details, and improving on training and oversight.

The Blood Is the Life by David Carrico Pdf

A COMING-OF-AGE STORY LIKE NO OTHER: CHAIM CAAN, AN OBSERVANT ORTHODOX JEW, FINDS HE MUST MAKE SENSE OF HIS PLACE IN THE WORLD WHEN HE DISCOVERS HE HAS BEEN TURNED INTO A VAMPIRE Chaim Caan was just out for a night of fun, blowing off some steam the way a young man will. After the better part of a year spent in COVID lockdowns, he was ready to let his hair down at a night club. But the fascinating young woman who he encountered that night left him with something to remember her by: she turned Chaim into a vampire. Soon, Chaim finds himself thrust into a weird underground world of mysticism and enchantment as he navigates life as the newly undead, trying to reconcile his beliefs as an Orthodox Jew with the new reality that has been thrust upon him. He is forced to deal with a lot of change: to his body, to his mind, to his perceptions, to his relationships, and even to his world. He finds himself in parts of the world he had never dreamed of being in, and he finds himself doing things that he had never envisioned being a part of his life. And if he can come to terms with these changes, this mild-mannered young man might just find himself a hero. At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management). Day of the Dog by Mark Salvi Pdf

In the year 2020, racial tensions are on the rise throughout the United States. Protests and violence escalate throughout the country, and terrorists take advantage of the situation to launch a biological attack. Millions die—but even worse, the deadly disease known as canine flu afflicts the world’s dogs, turning people’s pets into horrifying zombie dogs. In a small North Georgia town, those who survive the initial attack set out on a dangerous trip to Savannah, hoping to make contact with friends and family who have started a survivors’ community. The US military and government struggle to regain control of the country from the USS Ronald Reagan, an aircraft carrier, stationed off the coast of South Carolina; from the Looking Glass Plane, a specially equipped Boeing 707 carrying vital military personnel; and US Strategic Command, or STRATCOM, in Omaha. Meanwhile, American society is in collapse; the power grid no longer functions, and nightly attacks from the zombie dogs mean all survivors are in constant danger. Even worse, the Looking Glass Plane goes down in Pennsylvania, leaving only a few people alive trying to rescue the nation from chaos. Only time will tell if they will succeed. In this novel, a terrorist attack brings about an apocalyptic landscape in which zombie dogs roam the night, changing survivors’ lives forever.
