Hadron models and related New Energy issues by Florentin Smarandache,V. Christianto Pdf

The present book covers a wide-range of issues from alternative hadron models to their likely implications to New Energy research, including alternative interpretation of low-energy reaction (coldfusion) phenomena. The authors explored some new approaches to describe novel phenomena in particle physics. M Pitkanen introduces his nuclear string hypothesis derived from his Topological Geometrodynamics theory, while E. Goldfain discusses a number of nonlinear dynamics methods, including bifurcation, pattern formation (complex Ginzburg-Landau equation) to describe elementary particle masses. Fu Yuhua discusses a plausible method for prediction of phenomena related to New Energy development.F. Smarandache discusses his unmatter hypothesis, and A. Yefremov et al. discuss Yang-Mills field from Quaternion Space Geometry. Diego Rapoport discusses link between Torsion fields and Hadronic Mechanic.A.H. Phillips discusses semiconductor nanodevices, while V. and A. Boju discuss Digital Discrete and Combinatorial methods and their likely implications to New Energy research. Pavel Pintr et al. describe planetary orbit distance from modified Schrodinger equation, and M. Pereira discusses his new Hypergeometrical description of Standard Model of elementary particles. The present volume will be suitable for researchers interested in New Energy issues, in particular their link with alternative hadron models and interpretation. While some of these discussions may be found a bit too theoretical, our view is that once these phenomena can be put into rigorous theoretical framework, thereafter more 'open-minded' physicists may be more ready to consider these New Energy methods more seriously. Our basic proposition in the present book is that considering these new theoretical insights, one can expect there are new methods to generate New Energy technologies which are clearly within reach of human knowledge in the coming years.

Exotic Nuclei and Atomic Masses by Juha Äystö,Peter Dendooven,Ari Jokinen,Matti Leino Pdf

The ENAM2001 Conference was held on July 2-7, 2001 at the Rantasipi Aulanko Hotel in Hameenlinna in southern Finland. The conference was organized by the Department of Physics and the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyvaskyla with support from the Physics Departments of the Universities of Helsinki and Turku. This conference, Exotic Nuclei and Atomic Masses has now gained the status of a major nuclear physics serial conference. The previous conference was held in Bellaire, Michigan, USA. The conference was first held in 1967 in Lysekil, Sweden, then entitled Conference on Nuclei Far from Stability. ENAM2001 welcomed 270 participants from 34 countries, including 17 accompanying per sons. The content of the program was selected based on the advice of the International Advisory Committee. The Committee members read and considered 253 submitted abstracts in selecting oral contributions. During the conference week 76 invited and oral talks were given. The rest of the contributions were presented in dedicated poster sessions. Many thanks go to the speakers of oral and poster presentations for their enthusiasm and for the high quality of their work which demonstrated the liveliness of the field. Participation in the lectures was high and contributions from the audience were important towards the success of this conference. The organizers would like to especially thank Cary Davids of Argonne National Laboratory for his comprehensive summary talk, which is also included in these Proceedings.

Latest Advances in Atomic Cluster Collisions by Jean-Patrick Connerade,Andrey Solov'yov Pdf

This book presents a “snapshot” of the most recent and significant advances in the field of cluster physics. It is a comprehensive review based on contributions by the participants of the 2nd International Symposium on Atomic Cluster Collisions (ISACC 2007) held in July 19–23, 2007 at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany. The purpose of the Symposium is to promote the growth and exhange of scientific information on the structure and properties of nuclear, atomic, molecular, biological and complex cluster systems studied by means of photonic, electronic, heavy particle and atomic collisions. Particular attention is devoted to dynamic phenomena, many-body effects taking place in cluster systems of a different nature — these include problems of fusion and fission, fragmentation, collective electron excitations, phase transitions, etc. Both the experimental and theoretical aspects of cluster physics, uniquely placed between nuclear physics on the one hand and atomic, molecular and solid state physics on the other, are discussed. Contents:Clustering Phenomena at Nuclear and Subnuclear ScalesStructure and Properties of Atomic ClustersElectron, Photon and Ion Cluster CollisionsClusters on a SurfacePhase Transitions, Fusion, Fission and Fragmentation in Finite SystemsClusters in Laser FieldsClustering Phenomenon in System of Various Degrees of ComplexityStructure and Dynamics of BiomoleculesFrom Biomolecules to Cells and System Biology Readership: Researchers in physics, chemistry, biophysics, and materials science, both academic and professional. Keywords:Atomic Clusters;Biomolecules;Nanophysics;Nanoparticles;Collisions;Cluster Deposition;Fission and Fusion Processes;Phase TransitionsKey Features:Provides an overview of the traditional tools of the atomic, nuclear, molecular and biological physics applied to atomic clustersEmphasizes collisions with electrons, photons, heavy particles and atoms, as well as fusion and fissionUtilizes an interdisciplinary approach that joins many very different branches of physics, chemistry and mathematics

Nuclear Structure and Dynamics '09 by Matko Milin,Tamara Niksic,Suzana Szilner,D. Vretenar Pdf

This volume collects the contributions to the international conference "Nuclear Structure and Dynamics", held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from May 4 to 8, 2009. The conference was hosted by the Physics Department of the University of Zagreb and the Ruder Boškovic Institute. Following the long tradition of nuclear physics meetings on the Adriatic coast, organized by our two institutions, the Conference presented a review of recent experimental and theoretical advances in the physics of nuclear structure and reactions, and provided a broad discussion forum on current and future research projects. The main focus was on the following topics: Nuclear structure and reactions far from stability - Exotic modes of excitation and decays - Collective phenomena and symmetries - Ab initio, cluster model, and shell-model approaches - Nuclear energy density functionals - Heavy-ion reactions at near-barrier energies - Dynamics of light-ion reactions - Nuclear reactions of astrophysical interest - Weak-interaction processes. More than 170 nuclear physicists from over 30 countries participated in "Nuclear Structure and Dynamics". The considerable interest in this meeting was reflected not only in the number of participants but also in the large number of received abstracts. Following the suggestions of the International Advisory Committee, only about half of the submitted abstracts could be selected for oral presentation. In addition to 24 invited talks, more than 80 oral contributions were presented. An evening poster session was organized as part of the conference. An effort was made to provide the opportunity for young researchers to present their work, and selected posters were accepted for very short oral presentation.

Atomic and Nuclear Clusters by G.S. Anagostatos,W.v. Oertzen Pdf

The Second International Conference on Atomic and Nuclear Clusters '93 was orga nized in a joint effort by the 'Demokritos' National Center for Scientific Research, G. S. Anagnostatos (representing the atomic physics) and the Hahn-Meitner-Institut, W. von Oertzen (representing the nuclear physics). The subject of clusters - small aggregates of particles - is a topic of primary interest in both atomic and nuclear physics, and also in other fields like in the case of quark-structure of baryons and in cosmology. The interplay between atomic and nuclear physics is a particularly fascinating one because many concepts are common to both fields (quantal effects, shells, geometric structures, collective modes, fission etc. ) This conference was the second after the first one organized by Professor M. Brenner in Abo (Finland) in 1991. The general atmosphere of a joint forum for atomic and nuclear physicists was very fruitful and thus the decision to have a sequence of such meetings has been taken. A third one is planned in St. Petersburg (Russia) with Professor K. Gridnev (St. Petersburg) and Mme. Professor C. Bnkhignac (Orsay) as Chairpersons. The conference site, Fin\. on Santorini island (Greece), was a wonderful choice for a conference. It is small, which helps to keep people concentrated in a smaller community, it has a perfect convention center, the P. Nomikos Conference Center, and a very beautiful landscape formed by a large volcanic crater.
