In a general investigation of searchlights, including the effectiveness and suitability of their illumination for various purposes, it appeared desirable to have at least approximately quantitative data on the color of this light. An investigation was made with the cooperation of the Search light Investigation Section, Corps oi Engineers, U. S. Army. A report was issued to the Corps of Engineers and others January 2 3, 1919.
