I have read now four times, and with increasing interest, and if you leave the typewritten copy with me a little longer, shall read it again before I return it to you. Many plays are written that excite but little interest in the reading but depend upon the excellence of the players to carry them through, while others yield much more in the deliberate reading than can be brought out in the rapidly moving dialogue no matter how well spoken.
