Coronation Rites gives a historical account and description of the coronation rituals in the Christian states of Europe. It starts with the earliest conceptions of Kingship, ceremonies in Ancient Rome, and passes to the coronation rites of Anglo-Saxons, France, Milano, Hungary, and other states under the Roman Catholic Church.
