Many of my designs are from ideas from work I have done in the past with beading and needlework handed since I was very young and from friends asking me for special gifts for someone or for a holiday gift. Being taught mostly of the woodland natives, a lot of my designs in squares come from that. I also sit with needle in hand, and somewhere things begin to happen and designs appear from nowhere and something new begins. It’s very interesting what can happen when you put tools into your hands. I love FP and BP, they make very interesting designs, and they seem to make things pop out at the least expected time, and I do use a lot of them in my designs. The title of the book comes from the past being handed down and for it to be handed on to the future of the family to treasure.
