Cream of the Crop by Alice Clayton Pdf

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton brings her trademark blend of funny and sexy to this second contemporary romance in the brand-new Hudson Valley series! Manhattan’s It Girl, Natalie Grayson, has it all: she’s a hot exec at a leading advertising firm, known industry-wide for her challenging and edgy campaigns. She’s got a large circle of friends, a family that loves her dearly, and her dance card is always full with handsome eligible bachelors. What else could a modern gal-about-town wish for? The answer, of course, is...cheese. Natalie’s favorite part of each week is spending Saturday morning at the Union Square Farmer’s Market, where she indulges her love of all things triple cream. Her favorite booth also indulges her love of all things handsome. Oscar Mendoza, owner of the Bailey Falls Creamery and purveyor of the finest artisanal cheeses the Hudson Valley has to offer, is tall, dark, mysterious, and a bit oblivious. Or so she thinks. But that doesn’t stop Natalie from fantasizing about the size of his, ahem, milk can. Romance is churning, passion is burning, and something incredible is rising to the top. Could it be...love?

Phantom Warriors: Book 2 by Gary Linderer Pdf

MORE GRIPPING, NO-HOLDS-BARRED LRRP ACCOUNTS FROM THE FRONT LINES During the Vietnam War, few combat operations were more dangerous than LRRP/Ranger missions. Vastly outnumbered, the patrols faced overwhelming odds as they fought to carry out their missions, from gathering intelligence, acting as hunter/killer teams, or engaging in infamous “Parakeet” flights– actions in which teams were dropped into enemy areas and expected to “develop” the situation. PHANTOM WARRIORS II presents heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat stories from individuals and teams. These elite warriors relive sudden deadly firefights, prolonged gun battles with large enemy forces, desperate attempts to help fallen comrades, and the sheer hell of bloody, no-quarter combat. The LRRP accounts here are a testament to the courage, guts, daring, and sacrifice of the men who willingly faced death every day of their lives in Vietnam.

The Art Of Wing Leadership And Aircrew Morale In Combat by Lt Col John J. Zentner Pdf

Lt Col John J. Zentner’s The Art of Wing Leadership and Aircrew Morale in Combat addresses the role that the air force wing commander plays in affecting the level of aircrew morale during combat. More specifically, Colonel Zentner’s study seeks to identify and define those unique characteristics associated with leading airmen that sustain aircrew morale in the face of significant losses. Colonel Zentner defines aircrew morale as the enthusiasm and persistence with which an aviator flies combat missions. He then offers three historical case studies to establish a framework within which aircrew morale can be assessed. The first case study is of Maj Adolf Galland and Jagdgeschwader 26 during the Battle of Britain. The second case study considers Lt Col Joseph Laughlin and the 362d Fighter Group during the invasion of France in the summer of 1944. The third case study examines Col James R. McCarthy and the 43d Strategic Wing during Operation Linebacker II. Drawing heavily on the results of questionnaires and personal interviews, each case study is focused on the importance that aircrews ascribed to three general areas: individual needs, group cohesion, and unit esprit de corps. Colonel Zentner concludes that aircrew control over development of combat tactics was the single most important element affecting morale. This finding supports one of the fundamental truths about the employment of airpower, centralized control and decentralized execution that has become embedded in the airman’s culture. In each of the three cases studied by the author, morale generally improved when the wing commander either displayed a personal flair for tactical innovation or allowed his subordinates to become innovative. Conversely, morale declined when higher headquarters placed burdensome and unsound restrictions on aircrew tactics.

Cream Of The Crop by Herant A. Katchadouria,John Boli Pdf

Herant Katchadourian and John Boli began studying these men and women as undergraduates, classifying them into four categories: Careerists, Intellectuals, Strivers, and Unconnected. Ten years later, they found remarkable consistency among the members of each group, and reached some exciting conclusions about how the former students had shaped their lives. They discovered that while the educational elite does make more money than the general population, in theory these people value intellectual challenge, creativity, and independence in a job more than money, power, and prestige. The authors found that students classified as Intellectuals in college spent the least time in graduate school. And they determined that, although the women generally earned 27 percent less than the men, they had higher household incomes - and greater earning parity with their spouses.

Cream of the Crop by Allan Douglas English Pdf

A unique offering to military studies critiquing the effectiveness of the Royal Canadian Air Forces' aircrew preparations for war, a selection system and training program which became a modern model. English (war studies, Royal Military College of Canada) traces the development of aviation psychology and the treatment of psychological casualties in air combat, paying attention to the controversy of diagnosing aviators as "lacking moral fibre" and its effect on morale. By exploring these issues, the author includes the human dimension as an influence on air force effectiveness, as much as material and technological innovations. Includes some photographs.
