Our Father's Business by Tina Williams-Koroma Pdf

The subtitle of this book is "Pick up the Mission, Then Drop the Mic." This book walks you through the life of Christ with a primary focus on the book of Luke in the Bible. It provides wisdom from Jesus' life as He lived out Our Father's business. Although this book is divided by topic, it largely maintains the chronology of events as they are captured in the book of Luke. The inspiration for this book came as result of many personal experiences. Being about our Father's business is bigger than any title in life. Professionally, I am an entrepreneur, an adjunct instructor, an attorney, a board director and officer, and many other titles. Personally, I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a poet, an athlete. We all have many titles, but above all of these, there is a business, a mission, we have each been assigned to carry out. This book is written to remind and encourage you and me to "pick up the mission, then drop the mic." Picking up the mission refers to "bear[ing] [your] cross, and com[ing] after [Christ]." Dropping the mic refers to when a speaker or artist is on a stage, and says something so profound and final, leaving nothing else to be said afterwards. This is how our lives should be lived "" with such profundity that when our time on this earth is over, we can say, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith," our physical death being our "drop the mic" moment. The specific challenges we face in deciding to answer God's call on our lives will be different for each of us. Some of the most difficult decisions will be choices between good (our plans) and best (God's plans for us). It is my prayer that you read this book and "pick up the mission" so that at the end of your life, you can "then drop the mic!" Click here to access the author's website!

The Disappearing Mestizo by Joanne Rappaport Pdf

Much of the scholarship on difference in colonial Spanish America has been based on the "racial" categorizations of indigeneity, Africanness, and the eighteenth-century Mexican castas system. Adopting an alternative approach to the question of difference, Joanne Rappaport examines what it meant to be mestizo (of mixed parentage) in the early colonial era. She draws on lively vignettes culled from the sixteenth- and seventeenth-century archives of the New Kingdom of Granada (modern-day Colombia) to show that individuals classified as "mixed" were not members of coherent sociological groups. Rather, they slipped in and out of the mestizo category. Sometimes they were identified as mestizos, sometimes as Indians or Spaniards. In other instances, they identified themselves by attributes such as their status, the language that they spoke, or the place where they lived. The Disappearing Mestizo suggests that processes of identification in early colonial Spanish America were fluid and rooted in an epistemology entirely distinct from modern racial discourses.

The Virtual Life Solution (VLS) is a secret government program created to incarcerate the nation's worst criminals by placing them into a virtual reality world called the Special Operational Unfenced Prison (SOUP). Criminals in the SOUP create their new reality in prison by building upon their own memories and sharing the experiences of others that share their fate. VLS offers substantial cost savings to taxpayers and transforms every aspect of our incarceration system. It is the perfect solution.Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Alec Richardson is selected by the White House to write the story revealing details of the program to the American people to enhance the electability of the sitting President. Dolphinity: by Sioux Rose Pdf

Dolphinity traces the lives of twins, separated at birth, as they grow up on opposite coastlines. Jennifer's is a life of privilege based in California, while Daniel grows up on a houseboat in the Florida Keys. There he develops a special bond with dolphins. As a result of a strange boating accident (where hes presume drowned), Daniel enters the realm of the dolphins. Witnessing his own transformation into dolphin form, Daniel learns that a sect of dolphins descended from Atlantis. The priests of that era mastered the mysteries of genetics, and altered their forms to withstand the Great Flood. Instead of letting Daniel drown, the dolphins elect to make him one with them. Witness to the growing devastation of the worlds oceans, it is Daniels destiny to one day reveal all that he encountered. Living a parallel life, Jennifer marries and raises two children. However, a health crisis sends her on a vision-quest to Florida where her path intersects that of her brother! The dolphins are able to use Jennifer's genetic template to reverse engineer Daniel's form. He then becomes a powerful voice, speaking on behalf of sacred ecology. The story of twins returned to wholeness serves as a key metaphor for our times.

What Happened on the Cross by Nick Peros Pdf

What Happened on the Cross offers a new and biblical understanding of how salvation was accomplished upon the cross, showing that the Penal Substitution view, common since the 1500s, does not have a biblical basis, and also showing that the Christus Victor understanding is inadequate. The book is founded upon the understanding that Jesus Christ is the Second Adam, and that is the foundation of how we are to understand how salvation was accomplished. Both the shedding of blood and death were essential in the accomplishment of salvation, and What Happened on the Cross shows why these were essential. Using over 740 Scripture verses to make its argument, the book gives a comprehensive picture from Genesis to Revelation of the many aspects involved in the accomplishment of salvation—above all showing clearly that the cross had nothing to do with “punishment for sins”—our sins were never punished upon the cross, rather, our sins were forgiven. Understanding how salvation was accomplished upon the cross, and that it was about forgiveness, not punishment, both exalts God and his greatness, demonstrates his perfect love and justice, as well as liberates our hearts towards him.

The Tell by Matthew Hertenstein Pdf

Every day we make predictions based on limited information, in business and at home. Will this company’s stock performance continue? Will the job candidate I just interviewed be a good employee? What kind of adult will my child grow up to be? We tend to dismiss our predictive minds as prone to bias and mistakes, but in The Tell, psychologist Matthew Hertenstein reveals that our intuition is surprisingly good at using small clues to make big predictions, and shows how we can make better decisions by homing in on the right details. Just as expert poker players use their opponents’ tells to see through their bluffs, Hertenstein shows that we can likewise train ourselves to read physical cues to significantly increase our predictive acumen. By looking for certain clues, we can accurately call everything from election results to the likelihood of marital success, IQ scores to sexual orientation--even from flimsy evidence, such as an old yearbook photo or a silent one-minute video. Moreover, by understanding how people read our body language, we can adjust our own behavior so as to ace our next job interview or tip the dating scales in our favor. Drawing on rigorous research in psychology and brain science, Hertenstein shows us how to hone our powers of observation to increase our predictive capacities. A charming testament to the power of the human mind, The Tell will, to paraphrase Sherlock Holmes, show us how to notice what we see.

The Conclusion to the Whole Matter by Paul Douglas Castle Pdf

As the author of The Conclusion to the Whole Matter, I conclude its a risk of emotions to read this book. Because The Conclusion to the Whole Matter is a two-edged sword that cuts through myths, pagan practices, abominations, and the detestable traditions of men that are manifested in our society, and also in the churches of God. The Conclusion to the Whole Matter will stir up different emotions in all readers that read its contents, because The Conclusion to the Whole Matter will not let you see the world of Christianity as you once imagined it to be. The rose-colored glasses that most people view Christianity through may not seem so rosy after reading The Conclusion to the Whole Matter. But The Conclusion to the Whole Matter is the whole truth based on the word of God. In our society today men abhor the truththey twist and veil it in darkness and insincerity. The Conclusion to the Whole Matter unveils hidden things that professing Christians might wish would stay hidden from the light. The contents of this book are devoted to the feelings and emotions of God. The Bible consists of approximately 782,000 words. The Conclusion to the Whole Matter is summed up in six words. But its taken me approximately 190,000 words to put definition to The Conclusion to the Whole Matter. In the last days it will be 144,000 men of God and a flying angel who preach the last gospel on earth. The last gospel preached will be The Conclusion to the Whole Matter.
