The following list has been made to meet that need. This list is not complete, as biographical and geographical head ings and specific names of animals, etc. Have been omitted from the list but have been used in the catalogue. Using the A. L. A. List of Subject Headings as a basis, the aim has been to simplify as much as possible; carrying out this principle, the rules below have been followed with a few exceptions.
