Digital Domains 1 by Adam Drake Pdf

Here are the first books from two series involving adventures within digital domains from genre author, Adam Drake. Shadow Gambit (Shadow For Hire Book 1) An impossible quest for a legendary item. I love questing for loot. And the more difficult the quest, the greater the reward. So when I'm offered a chance to retrieve the ultimate treasure of all, I signed up. Yet no one warned me the task would be impossible. Against overwhelming odds I'm also expected to defeat an ancient evil - one with the power of a god. But you know what? Some loot is worth risking it all. Bitch Berserker: Part 1 of 3 Trapped in a savage new reality! I'm a kind and gentle person. Or should I say, I was... As an interstellar surveyor, my job is to find and explore new star systems at the very fringes of humankind's reach. There are no conflicts, or even stress – it's simply a career which allows me to quietly drift through the cosmos, enjoying its endless beauty. Then I found myself trapped on a world like no other. Dark, bloody and brutal, I had to adapt quickly to this new reality, or me and my crew would never get a chance to escape. My life quickly morphed from one of peace, to one of pure savagery. And as I carved a blood-soaked path across this realm of carnage, there was one horrifying fact about myself I needed to confront: Learning to kill was easy, but learning not to love it so much... now that's hard. litrpg, fantasy, science fiction, gamelit, rpg, cyberpunk, female mc, female protagonist, series, action, adventure, video games, sword, sorcery, game, gaming, mage, magic, mmo, role playing games, vr, virtual reality, wuxia, cultivation, science fiction, bundle, collection, omnibus

The Digital Public Domain by Melanie Dulong De Rosnay,Juan Carlos De Martin Pdf

Digital technology has made culture more accessible than ever before. Texts, audio, pictures and video can easily be produced, disseminated, used and remixed using devices that are increasingly user-friendly and affordable. However, along with this technological democratization comes a paradoxical flipside: the norms regulating culture's use - copyright and related rights - have become increasingly restrictive. This book brings together essays by academics, librarians, entrepreneurs, activists and policy makers, who were all part of the EU-funded Communia project. Together the authors argue that the Public Domain - that is, the informational works owned by all of us, be that literature, music, the output of scientific research, educational material or public sector information - is fundamental to a healthy society. The essays range from more theoretical papers on the history of copyright and the Public Domain, to practical examples and case studies of recent projects that have engaged with the principles of Open Access and Creative Commons licensing. The book is essential reading for anyone interested in the current debate about copyright and the Internet. It opens up discussion and offers practical solutions to the difficult question of the regulation of culture at the digital age.

Ethics in the Digital Domain by Robert S. Fortner Pdf

As a core text for undergraduate courses in new media, media ethics, and global communication, Ethics in the Digital Domainhelps students explore the big questions surrounding the impact of the digital domain on our daily lives. There are those who promise an enhanced human future through adoption and acceptance of digital culture, and those who condemn this shift in no uncertain terms. What are the positions taken by futurists and technology inventors and adopters on these issues? Through a series of case studies, this groundbreaking text challenges students to consider the future they will inhabit. Should they fear such changes or embrace them? What ethical systems will help provide guidance in this new world? What role will they have to play in this ecosystem? Will their humanity survive? Does it matter? Presented in a format designed to initiate debate and discussion, Ethics in the Digital Domain covers enduring debates in ethics such as privacy, copyright, libel, consent, surveillance and the necessity for truthful discourse. It also looks at new dimensions introduced by media practices in digital media, including: 24/7 tracking of handheld devices machine-to-machine and machine-to-human communication promises of immortality in the cloud the movement of AI robots toward humanlike activities Regardless of where students stand on the different issues raised here, they will find themselves in ethical conundrums because the tensions raised are both ordinary and profound in the new world of digital media ethics.

Digital Watermarking Techniques in Curvelet and Ridgelet Domain by Channapragada Rama Seshagiri Rao,Munaga V.N.K. Prasad Pdf

This book describes the design, development, and testing of a novel digital watermarking technique for color images using Magic Square and Ridgelet transforms. The novel feature of the method is that it generates and uses multiple copies of the digital watermark. The book describes how the method was tested for embedding digital watermarks into color cover images, resulting in very high PSNR value and yielding comparable results with existing watermarking techniques. To reach this new method, eight different techniques are designed, developed and tested. First, the authors test two digital watermarking techniques based on encryption: Image Watermark Using Complete Complementary Code Technique (CCCT) and Image Watermarking Using CCC-Fast Walsh Hadamard Transform Technique (CCC-FWHTT). Next, four digital watermarking techniques based on curvelet transforms are discussed: Image Watermarking Using Curvelet Transform (WCT), Watermark Wavelets in Curvelets of Cover Image (WWCT), Resized Watermark into Curvelets of Cover Image (RWCT), and Resized Watermark Wavelets into Curvelets of Cover Image (RWWCT). Then, two final techniques are presented: Image Watermarking Based on Magic Square (MST) and Image watermarking based on Magic Square and Ridgelet Transform (MSRTT). Future research directions are explored in the final chapter.Designed for professionals and researchers in computer graphics and imaging, Digital Watermarking Techniques in Curvelet and Ridgelet Domain is also a useful tool for advanced-level students.

ESD Design for Analog Circuits by Vladislav A. Vashchenko,Andrei Shibkov Pdf

This Book and Simulation Software Bundle Project Dear Reader, this book project brings to you a unique study tool for ESD protection solutions used in analog-integrated circuit (IC) design. Quick-start learning is combined with in-depth understanding for the whole spectrum of cro- disciplinary knowledge required to excel in the ESD ?eld. The chapters cover technical material from elementary semiconductor structure and device levels up to complex analog circuit design examples and case studies. The book project provides two different options for learning the material. The printed material can be studied as any regular technical textbook. At the same time, another option adds parallel exercise using the trial version of a complementary commercial simulation tool with prepared simulation examples. Combination of the textbook material with numerical simulation experience presents a unique opportunity to gain a level of expertise that is hard to achieve otherwise. The book is bundled with simpli?ed trial version of commercial mixed- TM mode simulation software from Angstrom Design Automation. The DECIMM (Device Circuit Mixed-Mode) simulator tool and complementary to the book s- ulation examples can be downloaded from www.analogesd.com. The simulation examples prepared by the authors support the speci?c examples discussed across the book chapters. A key idea behind this project is to provide an opportunity to not only study the book material but also gain a much deeper understanding of the subject by direct experience through practical simulation examples.
