Divine Comfort For The Wounded Soul by Pastor Katherine Aguirre Pdf

Saying goodbye is never easy. Burying a loved one can be unbearable. I’d never have imagined witnessing so many losses within my lifetime. There have been so many tragedies. We are living in trying times, where lives are being lost daily. Many families are destroyed by grief. Bearing loss after loss leaves one with many unanswered questions. How do I cope? How do I move on? The answer is through God’s Divine Comfort. Divine Comfort For The Wounded Soul was birthed from my losses and tragedies. I want to speak to every wounded soul that has lost a parent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparent, spouse, child, leader, pastor, cousin, friend, or simply a loved one. Maybe you lost a loved one to divorce or an addiction. You might find yourself at a loss for words. Maybe you’ve become overtaken with grief and feel like there is no reason to continue living. Regardless of the cause, my heart is with you. I want to bring awareness to the different stages of grief. In no moment am I saying that going through the stages of grief will bring healing or comfort to the wounded soul. But God can. Avoiding the stages and allowing grief to consume you will keep you bonded. This book details how I coped with my grief. The true purpose is to help bring hope to those that need it. I also want to bring honor to the Healer, Jesus Christ. He healed my wounded spirit and carried me through. He became my Friend and Divine Comforter. He walks by my side throughout my pain. During my moments of loneliness and questioning, He helped me through my grief process. His Word lifted me. God's ultimate love and compassion for the wounded soul is the remedy. My grief almost destroyed me, but God saved me. He can save you too. God is always available to help in the grief process. We just need to allow Him to do so. I pray this book helps, even if it’s just a little.

WORDS OF DIVINE COMFORT by Octavius Winslow Pdf

The title of this little work, it is hoped, sufficiently indicates its character and design, irrespective of any formal preface. It is intended to be a faint echo of God's words of divine love, addressed from time to time to His people, amid the varied experiences, duties, and trials of their Christian course. To aid and secure this holy result is the earnest design of this little volume, which the author commends to the devout perusal of the sincere believer in Jesus, and commits to the condescending blessing of the Triune God.”

Biblical Cures for the Wounded Spirit by Wayne A. Keast Pdf

About the Book Biblical Cures for the Wounded Spirit contains vital information that will answer many questions that those who suffer with PTSD and those close to them are asking. How does someone handle the grief experienced in combat? How does a spouse or other loved one handle the playing out of stress a combat veteran manifests when they return? Fear, guilt, no peace, and other issues are addressed. These are emotions that stir the soul and plague those who have experienced unimaginable trauma in a war zone or even in a violent home situation. Psychology and drugs are not the answer. New Age philosophy will not help. The Bible has the answers and will be found in these pages to be the solution that so many have been looking for. About the Author Saved at age 14 out of a broken, traumatizing home, Wayne A. Keast entered the Army at age 18 and discovered God’s peace in the midst of Army duty that includes deployment, and long stretches away from family. After years as an enlisted soldier, Wayne was called by God into the ministry out of German guard tour on a midnight shift. Finishing college and seminary, the Army received Wayne back as a commissioned officer and chaplain. After a deployment and after surgery, Wayne was in a rehab learning about war-time PTSD issues by listening to soldiers. After much bible study, Wayne learned of God’s cure for PTSD and how the inevitable wound can be treated successfully. Later, God showed Wayne a Bible verse that describes the issue. Proverbs 18:14 “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity, but a wounded spirit who can bear?” Wayne retired from the Army in 2012 with a burden for those with PTSD. This book is a compilation of the work completed in his Doctor of Ministry. Wounded Spirits is Wayne’s ministry order under Wounded Spirits INC. [email protected] www.biblecuresforptsd.org

Comfort for Christians by Arthur Pink Pdf

The work unto which the servant of Christ is called is many sided. Not only is he to preach the Gospel to the unsaved, to feed God's people with knowledge and understanding (Jer. 3:15), and to take up the stumbling stone out of their way (Isa. 57:14), but he is also charged to "cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression" (Isa. 58:1 and cf. 1 Tim. 4:2). While another important part of his commission is stated in, "Comfort ye, My people, said your God" (Isa. 40:1). What an honorable title, "My people!" What an assuring relationship: "your God!" What a pleasant task: "comfort ye My people!" A threefold reason may be suggested for the duplicating of the charge. First, because sometimes the souls of believers refuse to be comforted (Psa. 77:2), and the consolation needs to be repeated. Second, to press this duty the more emphatically upon the preacher's heart, that he need not be sparing in administering cheer. Third, to assure us how heartily desirous God himself is that His people should be of good cheer (Phil. 4:4). God has a "people," the objects of His special favor: a company whom He has taken into such intimate relationship unto Himself that He calls them "My people." Often they are disconsolate: because of their natural corruption's, the temptations of Satan, the cruel treatment of the world, the low state of Christ's cause upon earth. The "God of all comfort" (2 Cor. 1:3) is very tender of them, and it is His revealed will that His servants should bind up the brokenhearted and pour the balm of Gilead into their wounds. What cause have we to exclaim "Who is a God like unto Thee!" (Micah 7:18), who has provided for the comfort of those who were rebels against His government and transgressors of His Law. The contents of this little volume have appeared from time to time in our monthly magazine during the last thirty years. They were, previously, sermons which we preached long ago in the U.S.A. and Australia. Here and there is an expression (especially where Prophecy is touched upon) that we would not use today; but since the Lord was pleased to bless them in their original form to not a few of His distressed people, we have not revised them. May it please Him to speak peace by them to afflicted souls today, and the glory shall be His alone. Pink (1890-1953) was a Baptist Preacher in England, Australia, and the United States. He is most famous for his book The Sovereignty of God. After its advent, he, assisted by his editor Mr. I. Herendeen, launched his yearly publication, Studies in the Scriptures in 1921. These continued until his death, totaling altogether 33 volumes of 288 pp. each. Most of Pink's books are taken from these yearly volumes (written monthly in 24 page format).

Essence of the Psalms by Norman M. Chansky Pdf

Essence of the Psalms preserves the spirit of the biblical text while recasting it in a modern idiom. The poetic styles in this work are based on those found in the sacred text. Retained are the messages of petition, praise, thanksgiving, musings, anxiety, awe, confrontation and remorse, smoldering embers of anguish, and, especially, blessings. They are filtered, moreover, through a lens ground with both the bleakness and brightness of human history. The messages point to faith in and hope for a better world by taking the Virtuous Path of God, a Path Ringed with Garlands of Goodness. There is much mystery in the biblical text. Because the rules and rhythms of the human condition are ever changing, each time one revisits the text some mystery is unraveled, new meanings are unlocked, and enlightenment unfolds. A better understanding of the storms and calms of life springs forth. Extracting the marrow of the sacred text, Essence of the Psalms is a living testimony of its vitality and relevance.
