Dyed Souls is more a work of philosophy than psychology, examining an America where the notion of living an ethical life has become increasingly vague, superficial, and distorted, and its implications for a species capable of both great cruelty and great compassion. It is a thought-provoking, gritty novel, highlighting how blatant self-interest and prurient self-gratification has replaced the pursuit of wisdom and reason.
