L'éducation physiologique se fait à la fois par l'oreille, par l'oeil, je devrais ajouter et par la main un livre peut ètre substitué à l'enseignement auri culaire, il ne saurait l'ètre à l'enseignement visuel et manuel. Celui - là, enfin, s'étonnera de l'absence totale de bibliographie et de la suppression aussi complète que possible des noms de physiologistes. Il ne faut pas oublier que ce livre est destiné aux étudiants, qui font leur éducation physiologique, et non aux physiologistes de profession, qui font des recherches. Qu'importe à l'étudiant que les travaux dont on lui donne le résumé aient été publiés dans un journal ou dans un autre, qu'ils aient été faits par celui-ci ou par celui-lè? Quant aux physiologistes qui, par leurs recherches, font progresser la science, et qui seuls ont besoin de recourir aux mémoires originaux, ils ne liront probablement pas ce livre qui ne contient que de très humbles éléments de physiologie.
