***Visit backtofoundation.wordpress.com to get 3 Islamic books for FREE*** Do you want to STRENGTHEN YOUR CONNECTION WITH THE QURAN? If your answer is YES, then you will find this book extremely useful. INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR Q - WHY SHOULD SOMEONE READ THIS BOOK? A - Despite the presence of dozens of translations of the Quran and supplication (dua) books in the marketplace, it is sad to find Muslims living in the most pathetic condition in the world. They seem to be the people who are most in need of help/guidance. The simple reason why we have stopped benefitting from this Divine Message is that, we approach the Glorious Quran without knowing its proper etiquette. My book will teach you the correct etiquette of the Quran, which will strengthen your relationship with it. Once you learn the etiquette, you will notice that the Noble Quran will once again take the centre stage in your lives by reclaiming the spot of the ultimate go-to book for all your life's problems. Then, you will no longer feel the need to seek refuge in other man-made self-help books. Q - WHAT MAKES THIS BOOK SPECIAL? A - This is the ONLY book of its kind that has the Quran etiquette taken exclusively from the Quran and Authentic Ahadith. Moreover, full references are provided in the footnotes along with the hadith grading, so readers can check the sources themselves if they want. The book also addresses many misconceptions surrounding the handling and recitation of the Quran. This will prevent the readers from making those mistakes when approaching the Noble Quran. Q - WHY DID I WRITE THIS BOOK? A - Five years ago, when I first received the request from my sister to put together a book on Quran etiquette, most of the published work on Quran etiquette was filled with personal opinions. That is why; I decided to put together this book and spent countless hours to make sure that all the etiquette which I covered in it were exclusively taken from the Quran and Authentic Sunnah. Q - HOW SHOULD THE READERS TREAT THIS BOOK? A - This book should be treated as a constant companion of the Quran and should be in every house that contains the Glorious Quran. When the Quran is approached in a befitting manner, it will move and soften the hardest of hearts by the Mercy of Allah. Infamies of the Soul and Their Treatments by Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami,Musa Furber Pdf

Infamies of the soul (ʿUyūb al-nafs) is one of Islam’s earliest comprehensive theories for the purification of the soul. In this short guide, the hadith narrator, Shāfiʿī legist, and historian of the early sufis, Imam Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sulamī, presents sixty-nine wicked traits and habits of the soul, including anger, laziness, negligence, self-pity, envy, avarice, lying, and pride. Each infamy is described with its common causes and treatments, usually with relevant Prophetic narrations and statements from early Muslim sages. These infamies incline the soul towards evil and self-reproach. Treating them restores its serenity and certainty. With this translation, English readers can now benefit from the simplicity and practicality of Imam al-Sulamī’s classic self-help manual that Arabic readers have utilized for the past millennium.

Qur'an and Woman by Amina Wadud Pdf

Fourteen centuries of Islamic thought have produced a legacy of interpretive readings of the Qu'ran written almost entirely by men. Now, with Qu'ran and Woman, Amina Wadud provides a first interpretive reading by a woman, a reading which validates the female voice in the Qu'ran and brings it out of the shadows. Muslim progressives have long argued that it is not the religion but patriarchal interpretation and implementation of the Qu'ran that have kept women oppressed. For many, the way to reform is the reexamination and reinterpretation of religious texts. Qu'ran and Woman contributes a gender inclusive reading to one of the most fundamental disciplines in Islamic thought, Qu'ranic exegesis. Wadud breaks down specific texts and key words which have been used to limit women's public and private role, even to justify violence toward Muslim women, revealing that their original meaning and context defy such interpretations. What her analysis clarifies is the lack of gender bias, precedence, or prejudice in the essential language of the Qur'an. Despite much Qu'ranic evidence about the significance of women, gender reform in Muslim society has been stubbornly resisted. Wadud's reading of the Qu'ran confirms women's equality and constitutes legitimate grounds for contesting the unequal treatment that women have experienced historically and continue to experience legally in Muslim communities. The Qu'ran does not prescribe one timeless and unchanging social structure for men and women, Wadud argues lucidly, affirming that the Qu'ran holds greater possibilities for guiding human society to a more fulfilling and productive mutual collaboration between men and women than as yet attained by Muslims or non-Muslims.

Heart Softeners by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen Pdf

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Most Compassionate. Praise to the One Who completed this religion and sent guidance through His Messenger salAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam. To begin: Every so often our daily lives preoccupy us and turn us away from Allah's promise. When we walk out of our homes, turn on the radio, TV, or Internet, we are distracted by the evils we see and hear. As result of immorality and unashamed disobedience, our hearts grow hard and distant from Allah and His Messenger's call. We know the message of Islam is true, but we are weak due to the rigidity of our heart, spirit and mind. In times like these, we need something to penetrate that stiffness. We need a remedy to soften that hardness and the inflexibility of our choices. Disunity and harshness afflicts this Ummah today. Consequently, many people have turned away from brotherhood, caring, and even Islam itself. Their hearts have transformed into dwellings of complete hatred for a sinner, disdain toward the weak Muslim, and jealousy of their successful brother or sister.I have selected some ahaadeeth from the most authentic book after the Qur'aan to soften the hearts in our chests. I used Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen's explanations for the ahaadeeth selected. The ahaadeeth selected come from a book in Imam Al-Bukhari's collection titled Riqaq: Heart Softeners. This chapter brings tears to one's eyes, fear to one's mind, and most importantly it diminishes the rigidity in one's heart. I ask Allah to make the translation and compilation solely for His pleasure. I pray to Allah for acceptance of this deed and His mercy in the Hereafter.Abu Aaliyah Abdullah ibn Dwight Battle Ramadan 18th, 1433Doha, Qatar (c)
