Soul and Survival by Grant Bentley Pdf

Your face is the connection between your inner and outer world. Seen more by others than you, your unique facial structure is a doorway to information that explains who you are and why you do what you do. Grant Bentley, naturopath and homeopath developed Homeopathic Facial Analysis using facial structure to choose natural remedies for health problems. After listening to the life stories and stress reactions of numerous patients, he saw a fascinating pattern emerge. This pattern is a universal design that binds facial structure, Karma and the repeating events of life. Soul & Survival is a unique blend of information, stories and analogies that explores and explains human behavior and the difference between our survival instinct and our soul. From The Greatest Experiment in History to the Politics of Survival, Soul & Survival details the different reactions people have when they are under stress. It also helps explain many fears that may seem irrational to others, and the importance of contribution and skill to health and wellbeing. Soul & Survival is a work of self-discovery that includes our spiritual nature. Once you understand your own survival instinct, your life will no longer be a mystery. Seven traditional roles and groups are discussed along with the concept of holism and the three primary forces of life. Repeating life themes are explained including a discussion on how to break these negative themes in order to regain balance. Homeopathic Facial Analysis reveals more than just a way to improve health. It provides an insight into what makes us who we are.

Facial Diagnosis of Cell Salt Deficiencies by David Card Pdf

The condition of facial skin is a primary indicator of overall bodily health. Deficiencies in diet and metabolism, together with disease conditions, are easily observed in the face, if one knows what to look for. This book is about how to “read the face” to determine which essential cell salts (also known as tissue salts) are lacking in the body. When a diagnosis is determined, the patient can then remedy that condition by supplementing with the proper cell-salt. Cell salts (tissue salts) exist in every human body. These are the inorganic biochemical elements found in the blood and tissues. They are the builders and the catalysts for many essential processes. For example, most people may have heard of potassium chloride, but few realize that it is a tissue salt (cell salt) essential to the digestive process. This salt unites with hydrogen to form HCL (hydrochloric acid), aids in the production of bile, serves as an alkalizer, and helps in digestive enzyme formation. Therefore, it is a dynamic component of health. Twelve cell salts were identified in the 1850s by European scientists, and this knowledge was soon added to the materia medica of physicians and practitioners throughout Europe. Today, homeopathic practitioners and naturopathic doctors in the United States and other countries are beginning to revive the use of cell salt supplementation in successfully treating a spectrum of disease conditions. This book instructs the practitioner, or the patient, in: How to Read the Face: This book, complete with illustrations, guides the practitioner in what to look for in the face. Such cues as skin color, condition of eyebrows, size and color of lips, musculature of the face, blemishes and inflammations, the circles around or under the eyes, and many other characteristics, betray the excesses and deficiencies at work in the body. How to Use Cell Salts: Detailed explanations are given to each of the twelve cell salts, which interestingly correspond to the twelve signs of the zodiac. Extensive lists are supplied of various disease or imbalance conditions that can be helped by cell salt supplementation.

Materia Medica of New and Old Homeopathic Medicines by David S. Riley Pdf

David S. Riley’s interest in the research and subsequently the history and methodology of homeopathic drug provings began with his medical school training in 1979 and a residency in Internal Medicine. He was exposed to homeopathy in 1988 followed by study at the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy in Albany, California. He has investigated the interplay between contemporary research methods and the research methods associated with homeopathic drug provings. Dr Riley has developed research tools for data collection, symptom selection criteria and blinding; primarily to address the risk of bias. The homeopathic drug provings published here are the result of this work. For the 3rd edition twelve homeopathic drug provings, conducted by a number of internationally renowned proving directors, have been added. These homeopathic drug provings all follow good clinical practice (GCP) research guidelines and incorporate the guidelines suggested by Dr Samuel Hahnemann more than 200 years ago.

Capillary Fluid Exchange by Joshua Scallan,Virginia Heathorn Huxley,Ronald J. Korthuis Pdf

The partition of fluid between the vascular and interstitial compartments is regulated by forces (hydrostatic and oncotic) operating across the microvascular walls and the surface areas of permeable structures comprising the endothelial barrier to fluid and solute exchange, as well as within the extracellular matrix and lymphatics. In addition to its role in the regulation of vascular volume, transcapillary fluid filtration also allows for continuous turnover of water bathing tissue cells, providing the medium for diffusional flux of oxygen and nutrients required for cellular metabolism and removal of metabolic byproducts. Transendothelial volume flow has also been shown to influence vascular smooth muscle tone in arterioles, hydraulic conductivity in capillaries, and neutrophil transmigration across postcapillary venules, while the flow of this filtrate through the interstitial spaces functions to modify the activities of parenchymal, resident tissue, and metastasizing tumor cells. Likewise, the flow of lymph, which is driven by capillary filtration, is important for the transport of immune and tumor cells, antigen delivery to lymph nodes, and for return of filtered fluid and extravasated proteins to the blood. Given this background, the aims of this treatise are to summarize our current understanding of the factors involved in the regulation of transcapillary fluid movement, how fluid movements across the endothelial barrier and through the interstitium and lymphatic vessels influence cell function and behavior, and the pathophysiology of edema formation. Table of Contents: Fluid Movement Across the Endothelial Barrier / The Interstitium / The Lymphatic Vasculature / Pathophysiology of Edema Formation
