Faith Through the Storm by Major James Capers,,Buz Sawyers Pdf

This is a book about war. A war against America's enemies, against racism, against the loss of fellow warriors in battle, and against the personal loss of family back home. This is the story of Major James Capers, Jr. (USMC Ret.) Jim was born to a family of sharecroppers in South Carolina who escaped to Baltimore, Maryland in the dead of night to escape the days of Jim Crow laws for a better life. Joining the Marines fresh out of high school, Jim had no idea that he was paving the road for future Marines, black and white alike. The first African-American Marine to receive a battlefield commission as a member of 3rd Force Recon, a new special forces unit designed specifically for the war in Vietnam; the first African-American Marine officer used on a Marine recruitment poster; co-leader of the first special forces team to attempt the rescue of American and allied POW's held in a North Vietnamese prison; a leader in Team Broadminded, whose missions were so secret, their military records from Vietnam were not declassified until 2006; nominated for the Medal of Honor; inducted into the Commando Hall of Honor for special forces; awarded the Bronze and the Silver Stars. This book is about a man who is a true American hero, though he denies the notion. Above all, Jim is a husband, a father, a patriot, a warrior who has dealt with the tragedies of his military and personal life, always depending on his faith in God to guide him through the storm.

Faith - Through the Storm by Jez Smith Pdf

I have suffered on so many fronts, losing my health to losing my family and all the pain that that caused me. I spent a whole year and more seemingly holding on through the worst storm I have ever been in. Physically there is still a long way to go and a long road is still before me but I know that God is not finished with healing me. Physically my recovery has been very slow and frustrating and I am sure that my frustration has shown itself in the pages of this book, however I can clearly say that I would not be where I am today without my faith in God. One Sunday members of my church prayed for me because I had just had results that showed that their was no nerve activity in my legs below my knees and that according to the doctors showed that I did have nerve damage in my legs, however a week after their prayers for me God gave me the strength to walk into church on my crutches. I had been able for some weeks to walk short distances around my home on my crutches with splints controlling the position of my feet so that I did not drag my toes on the floor. Although my lower legs were not healed of their weakness God gave me the strength to walk further than I had ever walked before, and for me that told me that without prayer we can not overcome or expect to see positive results. Prayer is always the answer as is Jesus! I still find today that I have to be very careful with how much I do on any given day as busy days do result in me being very fatigued. My energy levels do dip quite badly, living with disabilities does mean doing things differently and adapting and I have found that every day has its own set of challenges where it comes to my physical weaknesses. However I have found that when I lean on God he always gives me enough strength for each day.

Faith in the Midst of Storms by Anne K Leipego Pdf

As long as we walk the earth, storms of life will hit us, especially when we least expect. A storm can be short lived, prolonged, overwhelming and stressful, however, a storm is seasonal and temporary. It begins and ends. A storm can be caused by the enemy to distract you or plant a seed of doubt in your mind so that you start questioning God's power or presence in your life. You then fail to pick the inherent lesson or see the hidden beauty of a storm. God also causes storms in our lives to prove the genuineness of our faith; to perfect us; complete us and build our character. Storms recreate us in the image and likeness of God, as was meant to be in the beginning. In the midst of a raging storm, do not cry and do not give up. Be still, listen to His small voice and detect His presence. He is always with us be it in the car, workplace, grocery shop and even in the midst of a raging and fiery furnace. ...ONLY BELIEVE... Jeff W Simmons was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he grew up. He started preaching when he was 19 and has been involved in pastoral ministry for over 36 years. He has started two churches, including Church 3.0 which was launched in 2012. Church 3.0 is located on Main Street in the historic district of Westminster, MD. Together Through the Storm by Sally Sims Pdf

"In our fallen world, episodes of sickness, suffering, and other trials are all too common. And the Bible's clear call for us to show Christian love and care means we know we shouldn't sit idly by while people around us go through these tough times. Yet our genuine concern for others is often hindered by valid fears--the fear of not knowing what to do or what to say; the fear of putting our foot in it and making things worse; or the fear that involvement may take us beyond our own personal resources. In Together Through the Storm, Sally Sims helps us overcome these fears by setting out clear biblical foundations and very practical guidance for Christian care that is based in the word of God and in Christian hope."--Back cover.

Trusting God Through the Storms by Anastasie Charles George Pdf

Trusting God through the Storm, Putting Faith into Action, amidst Trials and Adversity reveals the personal, profound, and at times shocking details of a single mother of eight, Anastasie's life, as she learns faithfulness, obedience, perseverance, and commitment to God through the most travailing hardships that any wife, mother, and woman can encounter. Having suffered through divorce, homelessness, abuse, racial discrimination, and humiliation at every turn, Anastasie felt powerless, rejected, and at times, utterly abandoned by God as she struggled to keep herself afloat through some of life's greatest hardships as well as overcoming numerous adversities that would at times seem too much to bear. Through sheer maternal desperation, she fought and prayed to ensure the survival of her eight children whom she knew would need to thrive despite the lack that she could offer. Through much fervent tears and prayer, Anastasie found strength and comfort in a personal relationship with God who would use every trial of her life to lead her into a special calling where she would soon find hope, purpose, and victory, not only for herself but for many others who would suffer as she had. Trusting God through the Storms is a story of transformation, reclamation, and one of God's restorative power to a life beset by disappointments and brokenness.
