FATHER TO THE FATHERLESS by Myama Myowne Pdf

Thousands of children and teenagers in the United States are growing up in homes where one or both biological parents are missing in action. The results of absent parents are far-reaching and truly devastating for the future of our homes and our families. Myama Myowne knows this fact all too well. She’s lived it. She’s experienced the impact. And she has a testimony that she wants to share. The truth of not having her father around when she needed him was painful. But God had other plans for her future. It included giving her the opportunity to see Him as the Father she never had and also gave her the ability to see the substitute father figures that He brought into her life at critical times in her development as the “fathers” she needed as well. The book you hold in your hands tells the story of what happens when God intervenes and changes the future. It not only tells Myama’s story. It also shows the important role we all play in changing the present realities of many youth that need the love of one or both parents that may be missing from their lives. This much-needed book is meant to make a difference in the climate of our families, neighborhoods, and cities.

FATHERLESS CHILDREN by Dr. Hosea Zollicoffer Pdf

This book is about saving the lives of hundreds of “at risk” teens and my struggle as a young boy after migrating to Washington, DC from rural Mississippi in the early fifties. After my mother enrolled me in a public school, the guidance counselor evaluated my record and demoted me one grade. My teachers told me that I was not college material. We were a proud family and this treatment upon arrival only served to ignite a fi re in my mother and me. Not only did I excel, I applied, and was accepted to the prestigious Dunbar High School in Washington. I was sent to Detroit, Michigan by the Johnson Administration with a group of experts to examine the reasons behind the rioting, burning and destruction in 1967. It was there that I received my Masters Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. It was here that I saw poverty, children who were underserved and uneducated. I saw mothers who were reaching out for assistance and desperately needed a helping hand, and I saw myself and my family in their eyes. HERE was my destiny - God had His hand on my life. Through faith, and working hard, I had overcome some difficult odds. I started on a never-ending path of teaching, mentoring, and child advocacy. I became a counselor for “at-risk” children. I earned my Doctorate from Virginia Tech and State University, I became a guidance counselor, a school principal, an acting Deputy Superintendent and more. I was an adjunct professor. As you continue to read, you will see why and how I feel I was predestined to serve and save the lives of young people. I want to inspire more people to reach out to “at risk” teens. They need more resources and not less.

God the Father by Riaan Engelbrecht Pdf

God is an actual, literal Father. He is the source of life. Yes, our God the Father created the universe and everything in it. He is a big God but at the same time is a personal God who knows each person's every need. God the Father set a plan in place to save humanity from itself. Yes, He is a good Father and a loving God who wants a family and to be with His children. He is not cruel or mean. Not abusive. Loving and kind. But also a Father who is not pleased with wickedness, evil or sin. He is a holy God. Unto Him we cry “Abba, Father” and He hears us. What an awesome God we serve, far better than the supposed fathers of mythology! Just as earthly fathers have an important part in contributing to the life of children, this is true with God as His spiritual children. He provides, protects, and nurtures. In this study, learn more about the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yes, He is the heavenly Father of Jews and Gentiles alike. Unto Him comes all the glory and all the praise. He is Holy. He is almighty. Unto Him comes all power, for He is authority. May we draw closer to Him and let God Father us in His love, beauty and majesty.

Healing the Father Wound by Kathy Rodriguez Pdf

Like restoring a vintage painting to its original splendor, God seeks to restore his father position with us, but this process can be hindered when we see him through the distorted image of our earthly fathers. Since most people come from less than perfect homes, it is often difficult to see God the way he wants us to see him: as a loving father. Many of us are living out the legacy of father wounds inflicted during our childhood. Healing the Father Wound is the perfect tool for anyone wanting to learn how to move forward toward emotional and spiritual maturity, regardless of their past.
