The Final Sacrifice by Patricia Bray Pdf

In one man, two souls fight for survival—and for mastery of an outlaw magic that could save a kingdom. It was a fate Josan once considered preferable to death. Cast by dark sorcery into the body of Emperor Lucius of Ikaria, the scholar-monk struggled to make peace with a mind that regarded him as a hostile intruder. But now, as simmering rivalries threaten to plunge the kingdom into a bloody civil war, Josan is faced with the most difficult choice of all. For the uneasy truce between him and Lucius is unraveling in a form of madness that is destroying the body they share. There’s only one hope for a cure. Disguised, stowing away as a common traveler, Josan/Lucius will make the hazardous journey to Xandropol. There in the great library of the Learned Brethren, Josan hopes to find the forbidden magic that will counter the spell that yokes him and Lucius. But an old antagonist is already on their trail: the Lady Ysobel follows them to what she realizes is the scene of her and Josan’s fateful first meeting. But not even she divines the reason for this final pilgrimage: that Josan has returned to sacrifice his life.

Ultimate Sacrifice by Lamar Waldron,Thom Hartmann Pdf

Cuba's number three official today - Commander Juan Almeida - was secretly working with JFK in November 1963 to overthrow Fidel. The U.S. government recently revealed Almeida's work for JFK, allowing the updated trade paperback of Ultimate Sacrifice to tell the full story for the first time (complete with new photos and documents). The authors obtained the story from almost two dozen associates of John and Robert Kennedy, starting in 1990 with JFK's Secretary of State Dean Rusk. Their accounts are supported by thousands of newly-released files at the National Archives. Almeida's ''palace coup,'' set for December 1, 1963, was to be backed up by U.S. forces ''invited'' in by Commander Almeida, then Chief of the Cuban Army. However, three Mafia bosses being targeted by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy used several CIA assets to infiltrate the secret plot and murder JFK. This resulted in cover-ups by officials like RFK and LBJ, to prevent the exposure of Almeida and a possible nuclear confrontation with the Soviets. The new edition explains why Almeida was not a double agent, why Fidel suspected Almeida's ally Che Guevara, and what Fidel did in 1990 when he finally found out about Almeida's work for JFK.

The Vedic Origins of Karma by Herman Wayne Tull Pdf

In this book, the author seeks access to Karma's origins by following several clues suggested by the doctrine's earliest formulation in the Upanistexts (circa 600-500 B.C.) These clues lead back to the mythical and ritual structure firmly established in the Brahmana texts, texts concerned with the rituals that chronologically and conceptually precede the UpanisThe rise of the karma doctrine is tied to the increasing dominance in late Vedic thought of the cosmic man (Purusa/Prajapati) mythology and its ritual analogue the "building of the fire altar" (agnicayana).

Messiah and Exaltation by Andrew Chester Pdf

Andrew Chester focuses on Jewish messianic hope, intermediary figures, and visionary traditions of human transformation, particularly in the Second Temple period, and analyzes their significance for the origin and development of New Testament Christology. He brings together five previously published essays on these themes: these include two long chapters, one on Jewish messianic and mediatorial traditions in relation to Pauline Christology, the other on messianism and eschatology in early Judaism and Christianity, plus one on messiah and Temple in Sibylline Oracles 3-5. Two further essays, on the significance of Torah in the messianic age, and on resurrection, transformation and early Christology, have been extensively revised. There are also three substantial new chapters, all of which engage closely with recent scholarly debate. The first, on the origin of Christology, argues for the significance of Jewish visionary traditions of human transformation for understanding how 'high' Christology came about at such an early stage within the New Testament. The second discusses the complex questions of the definition, scope and nature of Jewish messianism, especially in relation to the Hebrew Bible and the more-recently available Qumran evidence, and their significance for the New Testament. The third is concerned with what Paul means by the 'law of Christ', and the wider issues raised by this.

Hitler Youth, 1922-1945 by Jean-Denis G.G. Lepage Pdf

During the Nazi regime's swift rise to power, no single target of nazification took higher priority than Germany's young people. Well aware that the Nazi party could thrive only through the support of future generations, Hitler instituted a youth movement, the Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth), which indoctrinated the easily malleable students of Germany's schools and universities. Along with its female counterpart, the Bund deutscher Madel (League of German Girls), the Hitler Youth produced many thousands of young Germans who were deeply and fanatically imbued with the Nazi racist ideology. This heavily illustrated book outlines the history and development of the Hitler Youth from its origins in 1922 until it was disbanded by the allied powers in 1945.

Exodus from Rome Volume 1 by Dr. Todd D. Baker Pdf

Written by a former Roman Catholic of eighteen years and former candidate for the Roman Catholic priesthood, Dr. Todd Baker objectively and honestly examines the grandiose claims of the Papacy and the Roman Catholic Church in the critical light of Scripture and the evidence of history to show where Rome has greatly erred. This multi- volume work provides a controversial overview on the basic doctrines distinctive of Roman Catholicism so the open Catholic can learn how these beliefs, practices, and traditions of Rome contradict Scripture and do not have the support of a consistent, uniform history from the days of Jesus, the apostles, and the first three centuries of the early church and on. With over 1 billion adherents to the Roman Catholic Church, it is incumbent for the Bible believer to know the difference between the real Gospel of Scripture versus the Gospel of Rome and how they are not one and the same Gospel in the end. In a day of man-pleasing, ecumenical compromise with Rome, this book is sorely needed to remind the Protestant church that the real differences between Rome and the Bible have not changed since the Reformation, and must be reiterated and defended today on the exclusive ground of Scripture alone being the supreme authority in faith and practice for every Christian believer! Dr. Todd D. Baker is president of Brit Hadashah Ministries and Pastor of Shalom, Shalom Messianic Congregation in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biblical studies, a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Apologetics from Trinity Seminary under the auspices of Liverpool University at Liverpool, England. He is the staff theologian and writer for Zola Levitt Ministries and has appeared on the television program Zola Levitt Presents several times. With his extensive experience in Jewish evangelism, he conducts Gospel outreaches to Israel three times a year.

Vlad's Disciples by T.M. Rankin Pdf

Vlad’s Disciples is a book about a cult that worships Vlad the Impaler and believes in the vampiric legends surrounding him. This cult believes that by ritualistically sacrificing people and drinking their blood on the first night of the full moon, they will achieve immortality. After sacrificing their victims, the cult revels in the night with BDSM practices as they were recruited by the leader of their cult, the mayor of Boston, from various BDSM clubs around the state. The book culminates in this group sacrificing two of their own to achieve immortality and having a party at which their leader reveals the new identities that he has set up for each of them around the globe. However, unknown to the leader, a member of his elite inner circle lost his submissive the day before in a car accident. Disillusioned and let down when he realizes that they are not immortal, the man confronts the leader at a party he throws for the cult two days after they all “achieved” their immortality, only to find out that the leader knew all along that they were still mortal and had poisoned everyone at the party. Feeling betrayed, the man shoots and kills the leader before turning the gun on himself. The police, responding to the calls of shots fired, find everyone dead and a letter in the pocket of the man who had gone to confront the leader, confessing the entire story. Odd-numbered chapters in the book detail the sacrifices that this cult makes and their BDSM revelations. Even numbered chapters detail the police investigation and other goings-on in the story.

Christianity In Jewish Terms by Tikva Frymer-kensky,David Novak,Peter Ochs,David Sandmel,Michael Singer Pdf

Over the past few decades, there has been a dramatic and unprecedented shift in Jewish -- Christian relations, including signs of a new, improved Christian attitude towards Jews. Christianity in Jewish Terms is a Jewish theological response to the profound changes that have taken place in Christian thought. The book is divided into ten chapters, each of which features a main essay, written by a Jewish scholar, that explores the meaning of a set of Christian beliefs. Following the essay are responses from a second Jewish scholar and a Christian scholar. Designed to generate new conversations within the American Jewish community and between the Jewish and Christian communities, Christianity in Jewish Terms lays the foundation for better understanding. It was named a Choice Outstanding Academic Book of 2001.
