Give seven minutes each day to gain a deeper appreciation of God’s love for you. Through short but in-depth chapters, take a walk with Jesus as we follow His footprints on Calvary Road. Relive and reflect on the events of the final days of Jesus on earth, from His anointing by Mary, His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, His betrayal and death, to His resurrection on Easter Sunday, and see the extent to which Jesus went to show how much He loves us. “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12:3).

The Calvary Road by Roy Hession Pdf

A short, simple, but powerful book, "The Calvary Road" is an amazing manual about practical Christianity. If followed, the principles in this book will perpetually change your life by helping you receive more of God than ever before by consistently surrendering to Him than ever before. One of the best books on grace every written, "The Calvary Road" has changed many lives for the better over the years. The themes of humility, confession, and brokenness, as discussed so well by Hession, are important to any Christian. Every Christian should have this in their library. It teaches about how much the Lord really does want to help us, and most importantly how much He really does want to be with us on an individual level.

The Calvary Road by Revel and Roy Hession,Roy Hession Pdf

I am sure from my own experience, as well as from what we have seen in the ranks of our Mission these last three years, that what the authors tell us about in these pages is one of God's vital words to His worldwide church today. For long I had regarded revival only from the angle of some longed for, but very rare, sudden outpouring of the Spirit on a company of people. I felt that there was a missing link somewhere. Knowing of the continuing revival on a certain mission field, and because it was continuing and not merely sudden and passing, I long felt that they had a further secret we needed to learn. Then the chance came for heart-to-heart fellowship with them, first through one of our own missionary leaders whose life and ministry had been transformed by a visit to that field, and then through conferences with some of their missionaries on furlough and finally through the privilege of having two of the native brethren living for six months at our headquarters. From them I learned and saw that revival is first personal and immediate. It is the constant experience of any simplest Christian who "walks in the light," but I saw that walking in the light means an altogether new sensitiveness to sin, a calling things by their proper name of sin, such as pride, hardness, doubt, fear, self-pity, which are often passed over as merely human reaction. It means a readiness to "break" and confess at the feet of Him who was broken for us, for the Blood does not cleanse excuses, but always cleanses sin, confessed as sin; then revival is just the daily experience of a soul full of Jesus and running over. Further, we are beginning to learn, as a company of Christ's witnesses, that the rivers of life to the world do not flow out in their fulness through one man, but through the body, the team. Our brokenness and openness must be two-way, horizontal as well as vertical, with one another as with God. We are just beginning to experience in our own ranks that team work in the Spirit is one of the keys to revival, and that we have to learn and practice the laws of a living fellowship. I need not say more, as Roy Hession and his wife expound the whole matter. But we have seen God at work in our midst. I could name half-a-dozen of our workers, several of them leaders, in whose lives there has been a new spiritual revolution. Then rivulets of blessing in some of our individual lives have been merging in a larger stream. God has been giving us times as a company when "as they prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost." Here and there on our battle fields, distant and near, the sound of abundance of rain is being heard; and we believe among many companies of God's people He is preparing afresh for these last days a "sharp threshing instrument having teeth," and that what God is saying to us through this Revival, and through the interpretation of that message in this pamphlet, is a word of the Lord for our day. May it be greatly used to produce revived lives, revived fellowships and revived churches.

The 26 articles of “In the Footprints of Our Faith” offer religious, historical, and archaeological considerations about important sites in the Holy Land: Nazareth, Ein Karem, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, the Jordan River, Cana, Capernaum, the Lake of Gennesaret, Bethany, Emmaus... The original monthly series was written as a way to celebrate the Year of Faith opened by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012, and closed by Pope Francis in 2013. Here we present a compilation of these articles, sponsored by the Saxum Foundation. We began them in hopes of helping each reader personally “immerse” themselves in the Gospel, as St. Josemaria Escriva recommended, so that the Word of God may have a deep and lasting effect on the reader’s life.

Footprints Of Grace by Author Oliver Wright Pdf

Footprints of Grace: An Intimate Portrayal of the Footsteps of Jesus is a uniquely rich, suspenseful, tender, and compelling idyllic narrative portraying the gracious footsteps of Israel's long-awaited Messiah, the man called Jesus Christ of Nazareth. In fact, this narrative captured, in graphic scenery, the magnificent signs and miracles that Israel's Messiah demonstrated on the poor, oppressed, and downtrodden in bringing release to the sick and disease. Indeed, Dr. Wright's chronicle of Jesus's teaching and healing and His complete devotion to God, is an intimate, spirit-filled narrative with a host of refreshing dramatic expressions not duplicated in any other previous writings. His narrative not only captures the hearts of the people of Israel, but the heart of the reader as well. Therefore, through God's providential design, it is hoped that in every city, town, and village that Jesus, Israel's long-awaited Messiah, traveled, His glorious footprints of grace were forever engraved into the heart and lives of those whom He touched in seeking to save the lost in carrying out His Judean and Galilean ministries.

Unseen Footprints by Peter G. Feenstra Pdf

As we travel down the road of experience we don't always understand why things happen the way they do. Sometimes the path is pleasant and, even though we are not sure what the day will bring, we are thankful for God's good gifts. On other occasions we are perplexed, shed tears, feel disheartened, discouraged or downcast. There are times when we have difficulty figuring out how to proceed; we feel paralyzed when calamity strikes. The road ahead would be far too difficult if we did not have the perspective of faith. The Lord takes us through the raging storm and cuts a path through the dense jungles of human experience. God's presence is not visible to the physical eye but He calls us to follow His unseen footprints. In 260 meditations, Unseen Footprints encourages the reader to listen for the sound of God's footsteps as He makes His way through history, and to follow His unseen footprints. Rev. Peter Feenstra is minister of the Grand Valley Canadian Reformed Church, Ontario. He has served this church since 2007. He also served as minister of the Owen Sound Canadian Reformed Church (October 1992-August 2007) and the Emmanuel Canadian Reformed Church at Guelph (October 1986-October 1992). He previously wrote: Submitting to One Another Out of Reverence for Christ, a series of sermons on marriage and family life. Unspeakable Comfort, a commentary on the Canons of Dort. The Glorious Work of Home Visits You Only, a popular commentary and study guide on the prophecy of Amos.

St. Josemaria had always wanted to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and dreamed of starting various apostolic initiatives there which would help the Church. He was never able to fulfill this dream, but his first successor, Blessed Alvaro del Portillo, was able to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land from March 14–22, 1994. On the morning of March 23rd, only a few hours after Blessed Alvaro’s return to Rome, God called him to Heaven. With the faithful of Opus Dei and those with a devotion to Blessed Alvaro in mind, there are references to his final days in the Holy Land scattered throughout the text of the extended edition of “In the Footprints of Our Faith”.

Make Your Own Footprints in the Sand by Jack Thompson Pdf

No one, even myself, ever thought I would and could write poetry. Yet with God, all things are possible! I have seen more tragedy and death in my life than I would hope no other person ever has to go through. However, through these things, God has brought me out victorious. I have not been perfect, no, not even close. I have fallen short many times in my life, yet God is always there to forgive and guide me home. I can never thank Jesus enough for all He has done for me! After the loss of my wife of forty-three years, I felt so alone and hurt. God comforted me and sent to me a wonderful Christian lady to be my love again. It has been a wonderful miracle to see how God does care and loves each one of us and knows what we need in this life. "Making Your Own Footprints in the Sand" was my first real poem and has always been my favorite, and it continues to help me and guide me through life's good days and stormy days. At the end of this book, I give several thoughts that God has given me over the years. I hope and pray they bless you as well! These poems, I pray, will achieve the following: * Give you peace in things we'll all go through in life. * Help you think about the "good things" that are in life. * Build your faith and confidence in the Word and in God. * Inspire your mind to write, preach, teach, or just give you some joy. Thank you and God bless you for reading!

In the Footprints of the Lamb by George Steinberger Pdf

George Steinberger (1865-1904) lived a relatively brief life, and during those years he suffered much, as the reader will clearly discern in this book. However, God's grace taught and sustained this thirsty-hearted follower of the Lamb in the midst of many difficulties. Suffering can either make us or break us; Steinberger chose to take the former route. He lived by the truth of 1 Peter 5:10: "But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you." While this is a relatively small volume, it is packed with divine truth, written by a master of the devotional life. The book must be read and reread slowly, allowing the Spirit of God to penetrate one's heart with this biblically-based truth. As Christians, we are exhorted to "imitate the faith" of those worthies who have gone before us (Heb. 13:8). The faith of George Steinberger is worthy to be imitated, as he challenges us to "follow the Lamb wherever He goes (Rev. 14:4).Ole Hallesby, author of the classic volume "Prayer," said about this book: "I know of no devotional book that I have reread so many times. It is to an unusual degree filled with words of eternal life. Though many years of bitter suffering, its author learned to see the Savior as the Lamb of God and himself to walk the pathway 'in the footprints of the Lamb."
