Talitha Cumi "Little Girl, Arise!" by Greg Violi Pdf

Talitha Cumi, Little Girl, Arise! is an unveiling of the image of God and the utter importance of women taking their true place in the heart of the Father. As women discover the real meaning of hard-to-understand scriptures, they will be enthralled with both Paul and Father God’s love for them. While reading this revelatory book, the reader will be totally convinced that the Apostle Paul was not a misogynist, but instead, he had a deep appreciation and love for all female members of Christ’s body. The truths contained within this book will dispel confusion and instill a great honor in the men for their wives and sisters. These same truths will drive out all discouragement in the women and fill them with joy and excitement about the Father creating them as a woman. Never again, will these precious ones feel negative about themselves and their role on the earth. Marriages will be healed, inner wounds mended and the body of Christ, the Ekklesia, will enter more fully into its divine purpose through the divine revelation that is contained in this book. The necessity of the full image of God will be understood and with that, the importance of revealing the fulness of Christ in His risen glory through each member. Some of the important life-changing truths covered are: honor, pride’s power to block all understanding of the true meaning of the Scriptures and the main reason women are hindered and mistreated within the world. While reading about the hidden and unknown teaching called, hatred for weakness, the reader will find answers to many questions. Thank you for purchasing this book, dear reader, and I promise that, as you allow these truths to enter into you - you will never be the same!

Canons and Values by Larry Silver,Kevin Terraciano Pdf

A critical rethinking of the way canons are defined, constructed, dismantled, and revised. A century ago, all art was evaluated through the lens of European classicism and its tradition. This volume explores and questions the foundations of the European canon, offers a critical rethinking of ancient and classical art, and interrogates the canons of cultures and regions that have often been left at the margins of art history. It underscores the historical and geographical diversity of canons and the local values underlying them. Twelve international scholars consider how canons are constructed and contested, focusing on the relationship between canonical objects and the value systems that shape their hierarchies. Deploying an array of methodologies—including archaeological investigations, visual analysis, and literary critique—the authors examine canon formation throughout the world, including Africa, India, East Asia, Mesoamerica, South America, ancient Egypt, classical Greece, and Europe. Global studies of art, which are dismantling the traditionally Eurocentric canon, promise to make art history more inclusive. But enduring canons cannot be dismissed. This volume raises new questions about the importance of canons—including those from outside Europe—for the wider discipline of art history.

The Forerunner by Charlotte Perkins Gilman Pdf

"Should we not laugh to see a horse in corsets? The time is coming when we shall so laugh to see a woman." - The Forerunner Volume 1 (1909-1910) by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. In this anthology collection of key writings by prominent humanitarian and pro-equality writer, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the reader is afforded a fascinating insight into the lives and societal challenges of women in the early 20th century. Through a selection of expertly written poems, essays, and fictional stories as well as non-fiction narratives, the monthly magazine excerpts include lesser-known works such as ‘Our Androcentric Culture; or, The Man-Made World’, the poem ‘Then This’, and an essay entitled ‘A Small God And a Large Goddess’. The original writing showcases a progressive thinker with a strong female voice, who was ahead of her time in terms of feminism and women’s rights, in this selection of politically-inspired pieces from 1909. Charlotte Perkins Gilman, also known as Charlotte Perkins Stetson, was born on 3rd July 1860 in Connecticut, USA. Her early family life was troubled, with her father abandoning his wife and family; a move which strongly influenced her feminist political leanings and advocator of women’s rights. After working as a tutor and painter, Perkins – a self-declared humanist and tomboy – began to work as a writer of short stories, novels, non-fiction pieces, and poetry. Her best-known work is her semi-autobiographical short story, inspired by her post-natal depression, entitled ‘The Yellow Wallpaper’, which was published in 1892 and made into a film in 2011. Charlotte Perkins Gilman was a member of the American National Women's Hall of Fame and strongly believed that "the domestic environment oppressed women through the patriarchal beliefs upheld by society". A believer in euthanasia, she was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer in January 1932 and subsequently took her own life in August 1935, writing in her suicide note that she "chose chloroform over cancer".

Demographic Avant-Garde by Jana Vobecka Pdf

This book studies the unique demographic behavior of Jews in Bohemia (the historic part of the Czech Republic), starting from a moment in history when industrialization in Central Europe was still far away in the future, and when Jews were still living legally restricted lives in ghettos. Very early on, however, from the 18th century onwards, Jews developed patterns of decreasing mortality and fertility that was not observed among the gentile majority in Bohemia; patterns which established them as a demographic avant-garde population in all of Europe.

Samurai and Supermen by Bill Maltarich Pdf

Focusing on the ideological contradictions inherent in the German alliance with Japan during World War II, this book analyses German discourse about Japan from the distinct yet intricately connected standpoints of the German-Japanese historical relationship, the scientific and pseudo-scientific presentation of Japan in Germany, and German fictional depictions of Japan. The volume examines the historical relationship between Germany and Japan in the light of their alliance. It also traces the origins and development of the image of Japan in Nazi Germany. Through non-fiction texts, the points of emphasis, friction, and outright contradiction are discovered between Nazi ideology and an alliance with Japan as they were discussed both publicly and privately in Germany at the time. Finally, by examining fictional depictions of Japan and the Japanese under the Nazis, the work reveals the means by which fiction addressed these ideological issues and incorporated the historical and non-fictional arguments of its contemporaries. This book looks carefully at its connection to other historical, political, racial, and ideological thought of the time.

Encyclopedic Dictionary of Condensed Matter Physics by Charles P. Poole, Jr. Pdf

This volume is a translation and revision of the Original Russian version by Baryahktar. It covers all of the main fields involved in Condensed Matter Physics, such as crystallography, electrical properties, fluids, magnetism, material properties, optics, radiation, semiconductors, and superconductivity, as well as highlights of important related subjects such as quantum mechanics, spectroscopy, and statistical mechanics. Both theoretical and experimental aspects of condensed matter are covered in detail. The entries range from very short paragraphs on topics where definitions are needed, such as Bloch's law, clathrate compound, donor, domain, Kondo lattice, mean free path, and Wigner crystal, to long discussions of more general or more comprehensive topics such as antiferromagnetism, crystal lattice dynamics, dislocations, Fermi surface, Josephson effect, luminescence, magnetic films, phase transitions and semiconductors. The main theoretical approaches to Condensed Matter Physics are explained. There are several long tables on, for example, Bravais lattices, characteristics of magnetic materials, units of physical quantities, symmetry groups. The properties of the main elements of the periodic table are given. Numerous entries not covered by standard Solid State Physics texts o Self-similarity o The adiabatic approximation o Bistability Emphasis on materials not discussed in standard texts o Activated carborn o Austenite o Bainite o Calamitics o Carbine o Delat phase o Discotics o Gunier-Preston zones o Heterodesmic structures o Heusler Alloys o Stress and strain deviators o Vicalloy · Each entry is fully cross-referenced to help tracking down all aspects of a topic under investigation Highly illustrated to clarify many concepts
