Strong at the Break by Jon Land Pdf

Fifth-generation Texas Ranger Caitlin Strong returns in an adventure with roots in a gunfight where her father shot down the cult-like leader of a separatist church. Two decades later, that man's son, Malcolm Arno, has become head of a militia movement bent on unleashing chaos and anarchy across the country. With all the guns and money he needs to wage a second Civil War, nothing seems to be standing in Arno's way. Until he runs afoul of Caitlin Strong. Already mired in one investigation of drug smuggling over the U.S.-Canadian border and another involving an Iraqi war veteran who claims the army is trying to kill him, Caitlin finds herself embroiled in the search for the kidnapped son of former outlaw Cort Wesley Masters. When the missing boy's trail leads to Malcolm Arno's Texas compound, the three cases converge in an explosion of violence that will put Caitlin to the ultimate test. From the frozen rivers of Canada to the desert wastelands of Mexico, the stage has been set for a battle like none Caitlin has ever faced before, where the stakes are nothing less than the survival of America as we know it. The Dark Side of Personalization: Online Privacy Concerns Influence Customer Behavior by J”rg Ziesak Pdf

''Online Privacy Fears Stoked By Google, Twitter, Facebook Data Collection Arms Race'', ''Your E-Book Is Reading You'', '' 'Instant personalization' brings more privacy issues to Facebook''. These are only a few recent examples of media headlines that deal with the issue of online privacy and personalization. Scholars and managers have repeatedly stated the benefits of personalization which is targeting products and services to individual customers, and constitutes a key element of an interactive marketing strategy. In order to accurately estimate the needs and wants of customers, it is necessary to gather a significant amount of information. Privacy concerns may arise when personal information about customers is gathered. If this arises, personalization can backfire by making clients reluctant to use the service or - even worse - developing a negative attitude towards the company. A recent survey by Opera Software (2011) found that Americans fear online privacy violations more than job losses or declaring personal bankruptcy. This had induced politicians to introduce regulations and laws that address online privacy that safeguards consumers against online monitoring, and intrusion into confidential user information. However, privacy online remains a complicated issue for both, managers and politicians for new personalization technology emerges at a much faster pace than political regulations and guidelines. This is the first study that establishes a link between different types of data collection, data usage, and concerns for information privacy. It also analyses the impact of privacy concerns on value, risk and usability perception of personalization, and the users' willingness to transact with the website. Further, it develops a conceptual framework, and tests it by collecting responses to a questionnaire from an online-crowdsourcing sample of Amazon Mechanical Turk.

Moonlight Hotel by Scott Anderson Pdf

David Richards is a mid-level diplomat assigned to the sleepy, backwater Middle Eastern kingdom of Kutar in 1983. He spends his days on minor development projects and his nights seducing ambassador’s wives. But when news of a tribal skirmish reaches the capital, Richards soon finds himself embroiled in a civil war as Colonel Munn, a pint-sized, blustery Texan assigned to Kutar, organizes a preemptive offensive against the rebellious forces. After Munn is immediately routed and the rebellion seizes control of the capitol, Richards holes up in the ramshackle Moonlight Hotel with fellow expatriates, determined to ride out the conflict despite the growing chaos and destruction that are heading towards them. This is a stunning and thrilling novel of war and survival from an acclaimed war correspondent.

To build wealth, you must go into business for yourself as an owner, freelancer, commission-only salesperson, stockbroker, mortgage broker, or investment banker—something that offers the opportunity for uncapped earning potential. Spencer Williams wrote The Online Millionaire with this in mind, and he provides a way to leverage the immense wealth potential of the internet. "I’ve witnessed the spectacular results online businesses can bring people, and now I want to share the steps to make it possible for you, as well." - Spencer Williams Welcome to the digital age!
