It’s collective narcissism: a powerful groupthink. Members become defensively arrogant and cliques develop. A mob narrative grows: meanness without thought. In these family groups conformity is heavily prioritized: any disagreement with them really costs guys. Members distrust/dishonor those who differ, that’s you for sure. You talk to one and its ok but when the collective is there its the fury of the entire peanut gallery. Embrace your uniqueness cuz it's not a club you wanna be in anyway--remember that your highness. People love to be malicious in a group: they compete who is crueler when spreading the scoop. They didn't know anything about her, just assumed she was nuts from what the others inferred. They loved being the in-group who did the judging when they had her over a barrel and struggling. Abandonment from the pack brings shame in wolves who die of starvation: a similar situation. The self ceases to exist psychotically, feeling unlovable, unworthy and defective. Self-compassion incinerates the nastiness dumped by relatives, healing the shame internalized from abandonment. Do not rely on people. it's great when encouraging but what happens when they flake out? Adversity builds INSTINCTS and whether social muscle or brain power, hard circumstances creates genius. Stronger, more capable of handling extreme upsets, surviving what comes at them--these are the champions. Promotion not from people, it comes from the Lord--this releases any need to suckup to the mob. The less you depend on people, the greater the anointing on your life.
