Just Another Day in Paradise by Julia Bartlett Pdf

A friend complimented me on my vivid imagination after reading a draft of 'Just Another Day in Paradise'. The truth is that most of the locations really exist and that if you wander the Caribbean you will come across them. Many of the events also happened but some in different times and places and sometimes the characters just took off and did their own thing, ignoring me the way children ignore their parents when immersed in adventures. The Caribbean is where I live and I have kept true to its spirit and it is still wild and eciting. These adventures happen here every day; I know because adventures not disimilar have happened to me or my friends.

Far from the Cliff by Ray Moisa Pdf

Ray should have died on three separate occasions when he was in the ICU. But sheer tenacity, an almost delusional belief that COVID would not kill him, and the prayers of family and friends kept Ray alive for five weeks throughout his near-fatal COVID ordeal. Ray emerged from the hospital suffused with a renewed joy for, and love of, life. He set out in his recovery to regain his former vigor and complete the memoir he had been writing for years. This memoir is more than about surviving COVID. It is the story of how one man came to realize how blessed he has been throughout his life. It is the story of an unshakeable faith in God despite the setbacks, dangers, and trauma that life brings. Far from the Cliff is one man's prayer of thanksgiving for the beauty, love, and happiness that can be ours, even as we face endless trials, an uncertain future, and our own looming mortality.

A Gentle Answer by Scott Sauls Pdf

A remarkable vision for how Christians can live with countercultural gentleness in a perpetually angry, attacking, outraged time. Wow! What a great book!" -- Max Lucado In a defensive and divided era, how can followers of Jesus reveal a better way of living, one that loves others as God loves us? How can Christians be the kind of people who are known, as Proverbs puts it, to "turn away wrath?" Scott Sauls's compelling new book shows Christians how to become people of "a gentle answer" in a politically, relationally, and culturally fractured world by helping readers: grow in affection for Christ, who answers our hostility with gentleness; nurture a renewed, softened heart in light of Christ's gentleness toward us; and catch a vision to forsake us-against-them mentalities, put down our swords, and "infect" a hostile world with gentleness. For those who long for a more civil way of being, A Gentle Answer reveals why answering hostility with gentleness is essential, how we can nurture our hearts to do so, and what a gentle answer looks like, both in the church and in the world. "A great, highly practical volume that points us to the tenderness of Jesus: 'a bruised reed he will not break'." -- Tim Keller, Pastor Emeritus, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, New York City "Wow! What a great book…. We will be better humans because of it." -- Max Lucado, bestselling author and pastor of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas "Scott Sauls is the preeminent voice for fractured, polarized times…. Scott’s every word is read under our roof." -- Ann Voskamp, bestselling author of One Thousand Gifts and The Broken Way "This book could not have come at a better time, as we navigate a culture of polarization….This is a heart changing book!" -- Rebekah Lyons, bestselling author, Rhythms of Renewal and You are Free

Undying Love: A Journey Through The Apocalypse by Angeless Watkins-Gallar Pdf

The world, once vibrant with the heartbeat of civilization, had succumbed to the merciless grip of the apocalypse. A pandemic, unleashed with the insidiousness of a shadow, had turned the living into the undead, transforming bustling cities into haunting mausoleums. John Marshall, a man driven by an undying love, found himself cast into this grim theatre of survival. As the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving the sky ablaze with hues of blood-red and ash-grey, John stood at the precipice of a ravaged city. It was a place that once echoed with the laughter of children, the hum of traffic, and the rhythm of life's heartbeat. Now, the air was thick with the stench of decay, and the only sound that reverberated was the guttural moan of the undead echoes of a world that had crumbled into desolation
