Fundamentals of the Faith by Peter Kreeft Pdf

Kreeft considers all the fundamental elements of Christianity and Catholicism, explaining, defending and showing their relevance to our life and the world's yearnings. Here is a book to help you understand your faith more fully and to explain it to others more winningly. Like every religion, this faith has three aspects, corresponding to the three parts of the soul and filling the innate needs of all three parts. Kreeft uses these three divisions as the basic outline for his Christian apologetics. First, every religion has some beliefs, whether expressed in creeds or not, something for the intellect to know. Second, every religion has some duty or deed, some practice of program, some moral or ethical code, something for the will to choose. Finally, every religion has some liturgy, some worship, some "church", something for the body and the concrete imagination and the aesthetic sense to work at. Creed, Code and Cult; Words, Works and Worship, are a most useful way of outlining any religious faith, including the Catholic Faith of Christians. "These essays were written for Catholics by a Catholic. But I believe that nearly everything I say here will be found by the orthodox Biblical Protestant reader to be his faith as well: That solid and substantial core that C.S. Lewis called "mere Christianity" Peter Kreeft

Foundations of the Christian Faith by James Montgomery Boice Pdf

In one systematic volume, James Montgomery Boice provides a readable overview of Christian theology. Both students and pastors will benefit from this rich source that covers all the major doctrines of Christianity. With scholarly rigor and a pastor's heart, Boice carefully opens the topics of the nature of God, the character of his natural and special revelation, the fall, and the person and work of Christ. He then goes on to consider the work of the Holy Spirit in justification and sanctification. The book closes with careful discussion of ecclesiology and eschatology. This updated edition includes a foreword by Philip Ryken and a section-by-section study guide. Both those long familiar with Boice and those newly introduced to him will benefit from his remarkable practicality and thoroughness, which will continue to make this a standard reference for years to come.

Foundations of Christianity by Karl Kautsky Pdf

Kautsky is probably the first Marxist to interest himself both in the movement and the enigmatic personality of the crucified prophet. His "Foundations of Christianity" is one of the most popular Marxist theoretical works due to the interest of socialist militants to see a vision of the origins of Christianity which permits the modern workers movement to appropriate to itself the figure of Jesus as a prophet and martyr for the proletarian cause. The Fundamentals of Christianity by K.V. Anglin Pdf

God initially gave His Word to earth by way of the Jewish community, so that Jewish culture could be reflected in his Word throughout the world (rom. 3:1-2). This results in their translation of the Bible being the closest to his intention for mankind. For that reason I use The Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) as my text for this manuscript. CHRISTIANITY Christianity is not a religion. It is that type of being wherein the life of Jesus Christ is portrayed in and through the life of another person. It originates from the term Christ, which means The Anointed. Originally, Christ Jesus was the image of God's person (Heb.l:3), but was now anointed to carry out two missions. 1) To become the prototype for man, and 2) to bring man into conformity to his own person, thus making man the image of God (Rom.8:28-30). The process of redemption effects in man the transformation that renders him a new creature (2Cor.5:14-21; GaI.2:19-20). Redemption is possible only through faith in the shed blood of Christ. Having gone through this process one becomes a Christian and his lifestyle is Christianity. It is therefore not a religion but it supersedes religion.
