The Man Who Remade India by Vinay Sitapati Pdf

When P.V. Narasimha Rao became the unlikely prime minister of India in 1991, he inherited economic catastrophe, violent insurgencies and a nation adrift. Yet because he was unloved by his people and mistrusted by his own party-a minority in Parliament and ruling under the shadow of Sonia Gandhi-Rao lacked the mandate to combat these crises. Yet, Rao was not just able to last a full five years as Prime Minister, he reinvented India, at home and abroad. Few world leaders have achieved so much with so little power. With exclusive access to Rao's never-before-seen personal papers as well as over a hundred interviews, Vinay Sitapati's definitive biography tells the story of India's makeover in the 1990s and the story of the Deng Xiaoping-like figure who did it. Assuming power over an ossified, quasi-socialist economy burdened by inefficient industrial behemoths, Rao was instrumental in driving through a broad set of liberalizing economic reforms that transformed India. Rao's career is the ideal window through which to understand how India became a force in the global economy almost overnight. Sitapati traces Rao's life from a village in Telangana through his years in power and-afterward-his humiliation in retirement. Yet the book never loses sight of the inner man-his difficult childhood, his corruptions and love affairs, and his lingering loneliness. Meticulously researched and honestly told, this landmark political biography is a must-read for anyone interested in the man responsible for transforming India.

THE FUTURISTIC INDIA by ANNAPOORNI.E.G. Pdf

The Futuristic India is an anthology dedicated as a token of love for my country on behalf of her 75 years of Independence. India is a land known for its classic motto- ‘unity in diversity’. A country like India had to face several obstacles and shackles in the path of freedom in various forms. The oppression of the British Empire over petty Indians were practiced all over the nation by slavery, exploitation of power and justice. People’s right to express their opinions was completely forbidden during colonial rule. Apart from exploitation, misuse of power was a great havoc for the indigenous citizens. They miserably toiled in the hands of colonialism. When colonization crossed the boundaries of humanity and human ethics, people set forth their path to counter the opposition. Be it British, Rome, France, Germany or Portuguese, Indians stood together in spite of the hardships encountered till then. They decided not to give up their liberty and fought for achieving their rights. Hundreds of freedom fighters, social reformers and patriots formed part of this revolutionary movement and started their journey of revenge with the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhiji. Breaking all the hurdles through Ahimsa, India finally attained liberty on 15th August 1947, thereby declaring herself as a fully democratic country. The achievement of freedom was not as a result of any political clout or power, it was the fruit of equality. People were unbiased in setting up ideologies to defeat the British colony with the same mind, unbiased. We stood together as one, irrespective of caste, creed, community, race or gender. Successive defeats of the British boosted the zeal and fervor of Indians and thereafter, the opposition undergone till then was eventually dwindled. All the efforts were executed with hard work, devotion, dedication and determination towards our motherland, India. When India sometimes had to compromise on her legacy, she was never tired of that. She was confident that her children would restore her legacy more than before by rescuing her from the black-handed colonies. She was rejuvenated with the courage and valor her children possessed. Therefore, it is indeed a prestigious moment for Indians to relish the glory of India after 75 years of replenishment. In this book, we will come to know the areas where India needs growth as well as nourishment to establish herself as a completely developed nation. I hope this book will surely be a fruitful asset for the younger generation to know more about India and her legacy. The book is a trilingual contribution by 30 budding and talented writers across India who are passionate in expressing their ideas for our citizens. The vision behind this book is to envisage upon the various aspects of development and empower the nation with its pride and heritage.

Deva by Jacquelyn E. Lane Pdf

An in-depth introduction to the Deva Kingdom and our relationship with Deva • Explores how we partner with Deva in our everyday lives to evolve both our kingdom and theirs • Explains the hierarchy of the Deva kingdom, from elementals and nature spirits to higher angelic Deva and every level in between • Offers suggestions on how to communicate with the Deva of trees and plants as well as the angelic kingdom • Shares the author’s personal experiences with Deva around the world Nature spirits, faeries, gnomes, and their higher angelic counterparts who overlight landscapes, mountains, rivers, and plants have held a fascination for people worldwide for countless generations. The Deva kingdom is essentially the world’s form builders, the symphony at the heart of Creation, yet Deva is so much more than the joyful beings that animate what we call Nature. We each have a very personal and direct relationship with Deva via our physical, astral, emotional, and mental elementals, but this connection has been forgotten or, at the very least, overlooked. When we partner with Deva in our everyday lives, we can help evolve both our kingdom and aspects of theirs. Exploring the realm of Deva and our relationship with them, Jacquelyn E. Lane introduces us to the hierarchy of the Deva kingdom, from elementals and nature spirits to higher Deva and the levels in between. She examines the metaphysics that underlie their existence and how the energy of Deva is intrinsic to all that we experience. Deva is a Sanskrit word meaning “Being of Light,” an appropriate name as Deva sing light out of the primordial darkness to create forms for Being. Sharing her personal experiences with Deva in many lands over four decades, the author investigates our relationship with Deva, in particular via the elementals of our human constitution, and how we can communicate with the Deva of trees and plants as well as the angelic kingdom. Through scientific discoveries and cultural traditions, we discover the impact we have on Deva and how we use and even “create” new forms of Deva via our inventions and collective activity. Jacquelyn also looks at the orchestrating function of higher Deva and the wider implications of our understanding of Deva, including the role of Deva in Pan consciousness--our increasing realization of the intricate matrix of life within and between all the kingdoms on Earth. Offering not only an in-depth introduction to the world of Deva but also a glimpse of their wisdom, humor, and joy, this book reveals how we can begin to hear their complex song, find our own song, and work with the appropriate subtle layers of the Deva kingdom to grow and evolve.
