The Evangel by Don I. Bast Pdf
As it was so long ago, it appears to be today. The same two evils plague many of God's people: #1, they have forsaken God, the fountain of living waters, and #2, they have hewn out for themselves wells—broken wells, that contain not the waters (Jeremiah 2:13).The author identifies two main tendencies that “Christians” are drawn to as “Legalism” and “Fatalism”. He himself spent over twenty years drinking from each, never able to quench his thirst for God.At the age of 22, after a dramatic conversion, almost immediately he joined a religious cult and spent years in spiritual bondage. Attempting to establish his own righteousness, he was not able to be subject to the righteousness of God (Romans 10:3). Year after year, he remained ignorant of the fact that he was being exempted from Christ, by seeking to be justified in law. The rules, creeds and doctrines, which he followed religiously, actually caused him to fall out of the realm where grace operates (Galatians 5:4,5).Finally in his 40's he came to the realization of what it really means to be saved in grace through faith, alone. As is often the case, when the pendulum, swings too far one way, it does the same in the opposite direction. For the next 20 years he abused his freedom in Christ, simply enjoying life and wasting precious time and energy. Finally, at the age of 60, when a financial crisis hit, his whole world seemed to crumble and all his pet doctrines were tested. Painfully, over the next few years, God steadily awakened him out of his apathy and fatalist view of life and the scriptures. In this writing he shares the secret message he discovered. The message is none other than the gospel of God. It is the good news of Christ crucified, entombed and risen, according to the scriptures. The message itself is God's power for salvation to all who actually believe it (Romans 1:16). It alone can make one free to get hold of life really.

The Early Years of Evangel by Mary Lee Meares Pdf
Mary Lee Meares, co-founder and elder, provides a fascinating look at the early years of a ministry that started in a tent and grew to become one of the largest congregations in the Washington Metropolitan region. The church was called the National Evangelistic Center and Evangel Temple before being named Evangel Cathedral (pastored by her son, Bishop Don Meares). Co-founder Bishop John L. Meares was a patriarch of the faith whose zeal for spiritual unity was an instrumental part of racial reconciliation in the Body of Christ, bringing blacks and whites together during a time of segregation. Popular ministers such as Oral Roberts, Jack Coe, Morris Cerullo, Nicky Cruz, John McTernan, T. L. Osborne and G. B. McDowell were guest speakers. During the early years of the ministry, Bishop Meares moved in the miraculous and thousands were healed, saved and set free as the church experienced continuous revival. The ministry received countless letters and testimonies about the move of God. So, Elder Mary wrote and published a monthly Fellowship News which kept thousands of subscribers informed. Elder Mary has painstakingly compiled select articles from that newsletter to preserve the history of this great ministry. This work consists of those clippings as well as testimonies, newspaper articles, news from the worldwide mission field, first-hand accounts, teaching, and encouragement.

The Ultimate Context by Lazar Sretenovic Pdf
IN A BEGINNING ... Is it possible that a Jewish prophet, seven centuries before Christ, revealed the key that unlocks the cosmic mystery of life and laid the cornerstone of Biblical theodicy? In the peculiar work that is The Ultimate Context, Lazar Sretenovic posits a scripture-sound, universe-encasing perspective for consciousness appearing in space and time, in human form. Offering theologically provocative insights in an exhibition of unbound thinking and an evocative language of symbols and patterns, the work presents an original interpretive paradigm, inviting the conceptually intrepid to re-examine conclusions about: • Divine creativity principle • • Ultimate beginning and telos of all things • • God's essence and character • • Origin of evil • Free will • • Unified 66-book Bible

Evangel by Curtis Schulze Pdf
Today, the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ still lacks a clear and concise understanding of the right and the proper relationship between Grace and Truth [or, in other words, Law and Gospel.] In this trilogy [Redemption in Christ, Believer's Sanctification, and Justification by Faith], I am going to attempt to bridge the gap between Law and Gospel in order to bring clarity to the message of the Grace of Christ. My prayer is that the Spirit of Christ will rest upon me to help me rightly divide the Word of truth, in order to clear up any confusion or misconceptions believers may have about this Pauline gospel. In these three books, I explain Biblical Redemptions [Salvation] and the Sanctification of all believers. I will contrast the gift from the fruit, and show how the fruit verifies the gift. No fruit, no gift! The fruit is the proof of the gift; the gift is what brings forth the fruit. God help us! May His Grace be with me in this endeavor! If you truly want to know what Paul had in mind when he wrote his gospel, these three books are for you. In the second book of the series, I will address the process of sanctification in the life of a believer. Our sanctification is an extension of our justification, where God is taking the new life we've received from him, and causing it to grow and bear fruit. This happens the more we yield to him. The same Spirit of God that led us to salvation, is still at work, superintending over the life he placed inside of us when we first received that free gift. In other words, the same grace that brings you into new life is the same grace that bears the fruit of that life. Our only response is to simply yield, much like a branch that bears fruit from a vine. Many in the body of Christ are still identifying with the nature of their old man, and struggling to fully realize the new creature they've become through the life that now resides on the inside of them. The Holy Spirit is not overcoming your sinful nature, he's empowering your new nature. We no longer have to be confused about this. Come join in this venture to break down those spiritual barriers and equip you with the knowledge to apprehend the true nature of who God has called you to be!
