Paradise of God by Dr. Larry Ollison Pdf

Most people have a skewed vision of what heaven is or what heaven was or will be like. They tend to picture angels floating around, some having harps and some having bows and arrows but none of them actually having a life. To many people, heaven sounds like a boring place and there is little desire to go there although it's much better than...

In this work, Norman Wirzba argues that the doctrine of creation - as presented in the Bible and as developed through the centuries - actually holds the key to a true understanding of our place in the environment and our responsibility towards it.

The Philosophy of Life and Welcome to Paradise by A. R. Pugh Pdf

The Philosophy of Life and Welcome to Paradise by A. R. Pugh The Philosophy of Life and Welcome to Paradise is author A.R. Pugh’s attempt to promulgate superficial sentimentalities. Let him introduce you to some of his monumental verbosities. They are not related one to the other but just placed at random. Remember that you have a wonderful and powerful tool at your disposal, and that tool is the “Mind’s eye.” So let us start with the individual that you know best, and that person is you. Ask yourself a few simple questions. For example: 1. What is my mission on this planet Earth? 2. The things that I choose to do, are they right or are they wrong? Now have a good look at the lifestyle of other individuals. What do you think? Go a step further and look at the events of the world in general. Why is there no peace among the nations of the world? What do you think?

Two Gods in Heaven by Peter Schäfer Pdf

"In this book Peter Schäfer casts light on the common assumption that Judaism from its earliest formulations was strictly monotheistic. Over and over again in the Hebrew Bible the biblical writers insist upon the idea that there is one and only one God. But the biblical text is multifarious and contains many sources that subvert from within the strong monotheistic thesis. Old Canaanite deities such as Baal and El, although pushed to the edges, prove stubbornly persistent. They come to the forefront in, for example, the famous "Son of Man" of chapter 7 of the Book of Daniel. In sum, Schäfer argues that monotheism was an ideal in ancient Judaism that was consistently aspired to, but never fully achieved. Through close textual analysis of the Bible and certain key post-biblical sources, Schäfer tracks the long history of a second, younger, subordinate God next to the senior Jewish God YHWH. One might expect that with early Christianity's embrace of this idea (in the form of Jesus Christ), Judaism would have abandoned it utterly. But the opposite was the case. Even after Christianity usurps the original Jewish notion of a second, younger God, certain post-biblical Jewish circles-in particular early Jewish mystical circles-maintained and revived it with the archangel "Metatron," a controversial figure whose very existence is questioned and fiercely debated by the rabbis of the Babylonian Talmud. This book was originally published in Germany by C.H. Beck Verlag in 2016"--

The Paradise Located as God Identified in the Universe by Pantelo Pandeli Pdf

Pantelo Pandeli was inspired to write this book as an act of goodwill that could bring positive results and help create a better and more peaceful society. The Paradise Located As God Identified in the Universe resulted from the revelation that Saint John the Divine is in the Bible. The author provides scientific proof that he has located paradise in heaven. I investigated planet Mars and claim there was life there, and destruction fell upon them to finally identify similar figures on heavens, and using theology and paleontology again, claim that it is God's head image. Broaden your knowledge and your consciousness with this eye-opening book that soars through the universe. Paradise awaits.

The Paradise of God by Norman Wirzba Pdf

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." (Gen. 1:26) It has become a commonplace that Biblical religion bears a heavy share of responsibility for our destruction of the environment, and this passage from the King James version of the Bible exemplifies what is generally believed to be the Biblical attitude toward the earth. In this provocative book, however, Norman Wirzba argues that the doctrine of creation, when understood as a statement about the moral and spiritual meaning of the world, actually holds the key to a true understanding of our place in the environment and our responsibility toward it. Wirzba contends that an adequate response to environmental destruction depends on a new formulation of ourselves as part of a created whole, rather than as autonomous, unencumbered individuals. Drawing on the work of biblical scholars, ecologists, agrarians, philosophers, theologians, and cultural critics, Wirzba develops a comprehensive worldview that grows out of the idea that the world is God's creation. While the text of Genesis has historically encouraged a vision of persons as masters of creation, a more theologically and ecologically sensitive rendering, he says, would be to say that we are servants of creation. Our present culture, Wirzba believes, results from a denial of creation that has caused modern problems as diverse as rootlessness, individualism, careerism, boredom, and consumerism. The recovery of the meaning of creation can lead to a renewed sense of human identity and vocation, and happier, more peaceful lives. He concludes by offering practical advice for individuals who wish to begin the work of transformation and renewal. Moving beyond the usual political debates, The Paradise of God presents a compelling vision of a new religious environmentalism.

A Library of Religious Poetry by Philip Schaff,Arthur Gilman Pdf

Religious poetry is the holy of holies of literature. In all ages poets have been the interpreters of the finer feelings of humanity, and the greatest have treated the loftiest themes that can employ the mind and the heart -- the relation of man to his Maker, and the duties and privileges which arise from it. It has been the aim of the editors to make the present collection truly catholic. It embraces a body of representative poems of all ages, denominations, and countries. The authors are allowed the fullest liberty of uttering their sentiments in their own words. - Preface.
