Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit by Christopher J.H. Wright Pdf

How should Christians live? On the one hand, some very legalistic Christians stress the importance of keeping all the rules—that you must do this and never do that if you want to prove you are really a Christian. On the other hand, there are those who reject the whole idea of rules or traditions in the church and see the point of the Christian faith as setting us free from the institutionalized religious burden. But Paul addresses these two competing views by showing us a far better way—a truly Christian way to live our lives. It is the way of the Spirit of God given to us through Christ: "Walk by the Spirit . . . led by the Spirit . . . live by the Spirit . . . keep in step with the Spirit." That is the heart and soul of Christian living. It is the center and secret of what it means to be a person who belongs to Christ. Pastor and scholar Christopher Wright invites us to live a life in step with the Spirit by cultivating the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These nine chapters, each addressing a different fruit, each conclude with questions for contemplation or discussion. Feed on the Word of God, grow in Christlikeness, and live a fruitful life.

Fruit Full by Christie Thomas Pdf

A fun family devotional inspiring children to understand the fruit of the Spirit It's common for kids to memorize the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, goodness, self-control, and all the rest. But that doesn't mean they understand what it means. Is peace just not fighting with your siblings? Does self-control mean resisting a second dessert? When Mom and Dad explain these concepts just in terms of morality, we miss the mark. Christie Thomas is skilled at taking complex ideas and making them accessible to kids . . . and adults learn a lot along the way too. Each of her devotions is designed to help parents connect their children with the Holy Spirit through a Scripture passage, thought-provoking questions, ways to apply each verse, and a prayer. And for each fruit, parents can use the optional hands-on activities when there's extra time. Perfect for kicking off the New Year as a family, these 100 devotional experiences include illustrated examples of each fruit of the Spirit. They demonstrate the hands, heart, and habits of Jesus and also teach children to spend time with the good God who loves them. By understanding how he covers them with his goodness and how his Spirit helps them grow their own beautiful, Jesus-reflecting character, the whole family will connect to the Vine and grow abundant fruit together.

Bearing Fruit by Robby Gallaty Pdf

Why are so many Christians stagnant in their faith? Why do we often live as though the gospel stops at the moment of conversion? The good news of Jesus doesn’t stop the moment we get saved. In fact, salvation is only the beginning of God’s work in our lives. We often view salvation as the ending point; it’s really the beginning point. The gospel of Jesus doesn’t only justify us; it sanctifies us. When we receive the Holy Spirit at salvation, an incredible work begins to happen in us: we begin to bear fruit. When we are firmly planted in the gospel and committed to growing in Christ, He produces in us the fruits of the Spirit, the marks of a true Christian. In Bearing Fruit, Robby Gallaty walks us through the life of the Christian. Biblical, intentional, and practical, Bearing Fruit points our hearts to the gracious God who called us, justified us, and is now sanctifying us by the work of his Holy Spirit.

Growing in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit by Elena Arnaudova Pdf

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5: 22-23a NIV). Galatians 5: 22-23 are well-known verses amongst Christians, and yet there is relatively little teaching on this subject. Whilst there is an abundance of literature on the Person of the Holy Spirit and a great emphasis placed on His gifts, especially in charismatic circles, the fruit of the Spirit (equally if not even more important than the gifts) has been somewhat neglected. In Growing in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit, Elena Arnaudova looks at each of the nine fruits of the Spirit, underlining their fundamental importance to us in our Christian development. These simple, down-to-earth, and practical studies are the result of some of the insights and revelations Elena has received through her own devotional times over twenty years as a born-again believer. In reading this book, it is Elena's hope and prayer that you will be blessed, encouraged, and helped to grow into the fully mature character and person God created you to be. Elena Arnaudova was born and grew up in Kent in England. A qualified Secondary School and English Foreign Language teacher, she has taught for a number of years in the UK, as well as in France and Bulgaria. She also spent seven years working as an administrative assistant for a church in Hastings. In 1998 she married Deyan, and in 2007, at nearly forty years of age, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Rebeka.

The Fruit of The Spirit by Jeannette Rivera Pdf

The Fruit of The Spirit is a recollection of Jeannette’s personal experiences with God and how each one of them grows in her as her faith and her relationship with the Lord grows stronger since she was 15 years old. Each of Jeannette’s experiences helped her not only to be a better person, but to be a better Christian. Her trials may not be the same as yours. God see us individually, for that reason our personal experiences will be that, personal. When Paul wrote the letters to the Galatians, he made very clear how important was for them as a Christians to not only live by the Spirit, but to walk by the Spirit. We must remember that we all live in glass houses; meaning, that we are being watch constantly by those who do not agree with our life style. Being Christian is much more than simply go and occupied a chair once a week; maybe twice. We are representing The Almighty here in Earth, and even though we fail him sometimes, he still love us. The Bible is full of stories of redemption; after all we are humans, we will be in this flesh until the rapture. We will not reach perfection until we are in front of His presence. We have to continue the fight, this spiritual fight in which the adversary will do everything in his powers to see us fail, to make us quit. Only when we dedicate our life’s to serve God, and when we work thru prayer, fasting, and real worship his Fruit will be manifested in us, because it is there for whom ever want it. Look for it, search for, live it and you will see God’s wonders in you. That is His promise!
